Undergraduate level programs:

  • Indian Institute of Technology provides B.Tech, B.S., and B.Des. undergraduate programs.
  • To get admission into IITB students need to first clear their higher education with a minimum of 75% marks from the recognized boards.
  • And also, in 12th standard students must have the subjects Physics and Mathematics with Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology.
  • In addition to this, students must have given JEE Mains and advance exam and scored the cutoff.
  • To get admission into B.Des course student must have passed and scored in the UCEED examination. However, in the 12th standard students can have any stream.

Post-graduate-level programs:

  • The student must have passed with 60 marks in B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engineering courses), must be related to the courses the candidate is applying for.
  • And also, the students must have appeared in GATE Examination to get admission in M.Tech-PhD courses. Admission will be based on the GATE Score.
  • To get admission in M.Sc, M.Sc-PhD courses, students who have a minimum of 55% in UG from any relevant stream can get admission.
  • In addition to this, admission also will be based on the IIT JAM examination for these courses.
  • Moreover, to get admission in B.Des courses, students must have a qualified CEED examination. And also, graduated with 4-year programs in Interior design, engineering, architecture, etc.
  • In addition, Admission in M.Mgt. and EMBA courses are based on the CAT Score. And also, performance in Written Aptitude Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) conducted by the university itself.

Infrastructure at Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai

Library:

 The library consists of around 2,40,101 books, 1,18,925 journals, theses, 67,677 reports.

The library is an essential component for the university’s research and education mission as it has all the necessary facilities like chairs and tables with proper electricity, journals, newspapers, etc.

In other words, it provides various references as well as textbooks. And also, the college has a fully facilitated and well-established library for the students where they can find various journals and books. In addition, it provides an atmosphere to the student where they can more concentrate on their studies.

Hostels:

IIT Bombay provides 17 hostels to the students that are Hostel 1 to hostel 16, hostel 18, and Tansa.
