IIMK Admission process:
- Stage 1 – Registration of Candidates that meet the minimum eligibility criteria
The following shall be the criteria in Stage 1, to illustrate.
- Candidates having a positive raw score in all CAT sections shall be considered.
- Moreover, a graduation degree with an aggregate of 60% and candidates without a graduation degree having 50% aggregate in CA/ICWA/CS.

* The percentage of marks achieved in SSC and HSC will be calculated based on the aggregate of all subjects in the candidate’s mark sheet irrespective of whether the board considers them for calculation or not.
Abbreviations used: GEN- General, EWS- Economically Weaker Section, SC-Scheduled Caste, ST- Scheduled Tribe, NC-OBC- Non-creamy Other Backward Caste, PWD-Persons with Disability.
Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria briefly, will receive an email for online registration for IIMK admissions. And candidates who have completed the online registration procedure specifically, will be considered for Stage 2.
- Stage 2- Shortlist for Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview
In fact, the section below – ‘Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode Masters Admission: Interview Details’ comprises Stage 2 step.
Those shortlisted shall have to appear for personal interview in brief, during which a panel shall evaluate the academic efforts, general knowledge, social disposition, personality and work experience quality of every candidate. Based on the academic and additionally on the professional qualifications’ quality, the resume score shall be evaluated.
Subsequently after PI, the final scores computed are as indicated in the table below:

- PI – 44%
- Resume Score- 12%

The interview is conducted at IIMK after the candidate scores specifically, in the CAT examination. Those successfully finishing the Stage 1 registration process are called at Stage 2 accordingly, for a round of personal interview.
Based on the Aggregate Index Score (AIS) in fact, a candidate’s list of shortlisted candidates in each category is created.
And based on the performance in CAT specifically, Classes X and XII, gender criteria and work experience, AIS shall be calculated.
Further, Aggregate Index Score for Stage 2 is as follows:
- CAT Index Score – 45%
- Class X Percentage- 25%
- Class XII Percentage- 15%
- Gender Score- 10%
- Work Experience- 5%
Furthermore, the number of candidates shortlisted shall be at IIMK’s discretion and will depend on the batch.
Who Are Exempted from Entrance Test?
However, the entrance test exemption rules are the same as that of CAT examination exemption rules.
Declaration of Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode Masters Entrance Result
The IIMK Masters entrance result to sum up is the same as that of the CAT entrance examination result. And the CAT result however, is declared in the first week of January.
