IIFT Delhi has three hostel blocks that house its students. The blocks namely are C9, New Hostel, and Old Hostel. Likewise, the C9 hostel Block is modern and meets a list of available amenities, it houses as many as 60 students and has seating spaces and recreational space as well. The New Hostel houses majorly the two year MBA program students and has similar features to the C9 hostel. The old hostel has a capacity of seating 100 students in its mess, however, it is only old for its name as far as the living and residing experience it is fun. The old hostel even has some rooms which allow views of the Qutub Minar and the lush green Sanjay van.
IIFT has its own sports cell Adrenaline the sports cells organize an extraordinary 10-day sporting event. Likewise, the sporting event sees scores of management schools participate in competitions. Students from IIFT Delhi apart from enjoying playing sports during this event also gets the opportunity to participate in marketing and managing the event thereby applying their learnings. Both the exams are similar in pattern and share an almost identical syllabus. The syllabus being identical does not leave room for one exam is tougher than the other. However, what is tough is clearing IIFT as there are presently only two IIFT’s. Whereas students appearing for CAT can choose to apply to a large number of MBA colleges.
The fees for IIFT two-year MBA program are 7.5 lakhs for the general and OBC category whereas as it is 3.5 lakhs for SC/ST candidates. For executive programs, the fees are 3.5 lacs and 1.75 lakhs for the weaker section of the society. The weekend MBA program fees are the same as the two-year program fees.
There are almost ten times the number of IIMs present in the country than IIFTS. However, the top IIMs are IIM ABC and there are only two IIFTs. When compared to IIMS IIFT wins in its flagship course in IB. Similarly, the respective IIMs win for their flagship course against each other and IIFT.
