The modern-day state of Madhya Pradesh comprises the ancient Avanti Mahajanapada, whose capital Ujjain (also known as Avantika) developed as a great metropolis during India’s second wave of urbanization in the sixth century BCE. Here, following that, the region was subject to India’s great dynasties. The majority of the 18th century was ruled by the Maratha empire. Following the Anglo-Maratha Wars of the nineteenth century, the region was partitioned into many princely states under British control and absorbed into the Central Provinces and Berar, as well as the Central India Agency.
Likewise, with its capital, Nagpur found after the independence of India: the south half of the present-day Madhya Pradesh and the northeast part of current Maharashtra. After that the Madhya Pradesh state was founded. So, in 1956, the new Madhya Pradesh state, the Marathi-speaking region of Vidarbha, was reorganized and its components amalgamated with the countries of Madhya Bharat, Vindhya Pradesh, and Bhopal, and fused with the State of Bombay. The state was the largest in India until 2000 when it became a distinct state in its southeast Chhattisgarh region.
Madhya Pradesh was literate at 70.6 percent according to the 2011 census. The state has had 105,5,592 elementary, 6,352 secondary, and 5,161 secondary schools, according to numbers in the 2009-10 report. Trade and industries are probably not as complicated, widespread, and globally interlinked as they are today at an earlier stage in human history. These developments do not hinder India, which is undergoing fast development in its industrial sector. A wide range of cross-disciplinary activities including design and IT are required in the modern industrial environment. Engineers are therefore asked to operate within new environmental, economic, and social limitations, which increasingly become part of modern engineering. These things obviously need to be included in the curricula for engineering. Traditional forms areolate teaching and research in individual disciplines with unincluded curricula and the organization of our engineering programs in accordance with modern manufacturing needs have consequently altered little. Such distinctions are observed to act as obstacles to learning, conduct, and performance in existing higher education models.
The basic essence of the IT profession is also a part of engineering education. Today’s IT market has an innovative model which is very different from the research models most institutions know. Also, the new Innovation market model highlights rapid concepts, funding venture capital projects, fostering innovation by rewarding entrepreneurs that focus on turning people’s practices into more productive with the help of new technologies. Only after ideas have been through a long pipeline that distills the best and makes it work over 15-20 years, the classical research approach stresses the sparing development of ideas and principles and innovation. Another big difficulty for engineering education providers is the dichotomy between the new market-driven paradigm and the traditional idea-pipeline model.
While large and diverse, India’s existing engineering education system depends primarily on the traditional concept of a pipeline model. A new academic curriculum needs to be developed to connect the knowledge of a certain area with IT design, prototyping, and production issues. Here, the new strategy should also emphasize the aesthetic, ergonomic, and functional factors of items in addition to emphasizing IT. The academic program should also react to the adaptive management structure driven by industry.
In light of the foregoing conditions, the Government of India (MHRD) felt it was necessary to establish up a National Institute exclusively dedicated to IT, Design and Manufacturing (IT) (D & M). This academic institution was designed to foster excellence in the targeted areas of specialty and to facilitate and promote Indian products and production on global markets as a competitive advantage. Furthermore, by respecting a product life cycle management (PLM) approach, the new Institute is an interdisciplinary organization for education and research. In January 2005, Jabalpur was founded by the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design, and Manufacture (IIITDM). The primary qualities of this Institute are its strong industrial interface and close collaboration with other academic and research institutes.
The Institute’s mission is to develop a multi-disciplinary university environment to prepare and teach exceptional personnel to foster and foster knowledge-based activities and products by bringing together a collaborative mixture of various sectors of science, engineering, and the arts. The Institute will thereby identify present and future scholarship plans, exchange information and findings with the world community, and actively cultivate people with a passion for and ability to contribute to society.

In 1995, the Indian Government then decided to set up national IT and management training centers, following an AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) report composed of prominent academics, policymakers, and professionals.
The post-graduate course was begun in 1998 with 30 students, followed in 1999 by the post-graduate course in Information Technology, and in 2000 the dual post-graduate program, which included Ph.D., Ph.D., and 5-year postgraduate programs.
Under the Societies Registration Act, IIITM was created as an independent institute. This centrally financed institution, which is managed by a Governing Board, is aimed at providing an integrated approach to training, research, teaching, and consulting in management and IT areas.
This is the IIITM goal:
