Admission Process for B.FTech in National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)

The aspirants have to attend an entrance test conducted by the Institute. The candidates will be short listed on the basis of their performance in the entrance test. The short listed candidates then have to attend a Managerial Ability test and General Ability Test. Based on the candidate’s skill in each of the test, his/ her admittance will be decided by the officials of the Institute.

Fee structure of B.FTech in National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)

For Bachelor of Fashion Technology in National Institute of Fashion Technology, the first semester fees will be around Rs. 61,750/- including tuition fee, security deposit, alumni association membership fee, library fee and medi-claim & student development fee. For the second, third and fourth semesters, it will be around Rs. 44,250/- which includes the tuition fee, library fee, student development and medi-claim fee. For the NRIs, the fees will be different. They will have to pay Rs. 4,10,000/- in the first semester and Rs. 3,60,000/- in the second semester.

Therefore as the name suggests its a government college but not in reality -when you see the fee structure. At present ,the total academic fee for 4 years is around 12 lakhs.

So it’s up to your interest area whether you want to do BFTech from NIFT or anything else.

Which is better B.Des. or BFTech?

Therefore, both BDes and B.F.Tech. are the undergraduate degree programmes offered for fashion designing aspirants to upgrade their skills and knowledge about fashion industry and its trends.

However, Bachelor of Fashion Technology or B.F.Tech. is an AICTE approved programme. Individuals are required to complete 10+2 in PCM to enrol in this programme.
