SBI Clerk Exam Syllabus

The SBI Clerk Exam Syllabus gets released along with the official notification every year on the website.

The exam has two phases: The Prelims Exam and the Mains Exam.

The Prelims Exam consists of three sections: Reasoning Ability, Eng Language and Numerical Ability. The Mains Exam consists of five sections: Quantitative Aptitude, General Eng, Comp Awareness, Reasoning Ability, and GK.

The Prelims Exam carries 100 marks, and the Mains Exam has a total of 200 scores.

The Prelims and the Mains get both conducted based on the same pattern and the Syllabus. The difficulty level of the Mains Exam is higher than that of Prelims. SBI Clerk Exam Pattern

The SBI Bank organizes the SBI Clerk Exam Pattern every year. Phase II: Candidates numbering ten times (approx.) the vacancies in each category will get selected for Mains Exam from the top of the above merit list. Candidates who qualify Prelims Exam and get shortlisted will need to appear in the Mains Exam. In the Mains, the candidate needs to attempt 190 multiple choice questions and a local language exam. The mark allocated to this section is 200. The total time duration given is 2 hrs 40 mins.

Note:

Penalty for Wrong Answers

(Applicable to both – Online Prelims and Online Main exam).

In the Objective Exams, there will be a penalty for incorrect responses. One-fourth of the marks allotted to that question will get subtracted as a penalty for the wrong answer. There will be no penalty if a question is left blank.

Each candidate must get a minimum score on each exam of the Online Single exam to get selected for the next phase of recruitment.

Phase III: After the mains exam, a provisional selection gets made, and then the candidate needs to clear the local language exam. Candidates who can provide a 10th or 12th certificate stating that they have studied the opted language need not appear for the exam. Those who can’t produce the certificate will have to go through a local language exam to check their reading, writing, and speaking proficiency in the local language.

After going through all these phases, the SBI publishes the final merit list of the applicants. They will get recruited for the job.

 

Normalization of SBI Clerk Exam Marks

The Normalization of the SBI Clerk Exam Marks gets necessary to balance the marks of the applicants.
