RPF SI Exam Syllabus

RPF SI exam is divided into 3 stages. According to this exam pattern following are the stages-

• Computer Based Test
• Physical Efficiency Test
• Physical Measurement Test

Only CBT i.e. Computer based test will have test questions and syllabus.  Computer based test of RPF is exam is divided into 3 sections.

• General Awareness
• Arithmetic
• General Intelligence And Reasoning

Candidates should learn about each topic and its sub parts in details when appearing for exam.  All the sections are marked and evaluated separately. Candidates need to clear all three sections separately.

Computer Based Test

The Syllabus of computer based test of RPF SI exam is divided into three sections.

General Awareness

This section includes current events, Indian politics, constitution etc Questions regarding effects of these events and politics on the society are also asked. Following is the list of the topic that candidates should go through while preparing for this exam.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

This is the second stage of the exam. Candidates who clear CBT are called for PET and PMT up to 10 times. Though recalls depend upon the number of vacancies available. It is compulsory for candidates to qualify for PMT and PET. Also, there are no marks. Candidates need to clear the following tests.

RPF SI Exam Pattern

The recruitment exam of RPF SI is divided into three parts.

• Computer Based Test
• Physical Efficiency Test
• Physical Measurement Test

Written Exam

• For Computer Based Test There Are 3 Topics-
• General Awareness
• Arithmetic
• General Intelligence and Reasoning.

There is only one paper with three sections. Marks distribution is as following-

Following points are important regarding RPF SI Exams syllabus and pattern-

• Only those candidates who will clear the CBT will move to the second stage of physical tests.
• There is negative marking in exams.
• There is no option of recalculation.
• Candidates can choose the language of the paper at the time of filling the application form.
• All the details related to the exam like timing, date, and venue will be written on the admit card.
• After the exam, the Central recruitment committee will take all the decisions related to future intimations and purposes.

Physical Exam

For the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT), the following points should be kept in mind.

• There are no marks on these exams.
• PET has two runs and two jumps. Candidates can try for jumps twice. But they will get only one chance to clear the runs.
• PET and PMT are qualifying tests. Candidates should clear both these tests.
• There will be a recall up to 10 times for Pet. But this depends completely on the number of vacancies.
• There will be a grievances cell set up for the candidates. They can go to the cell to report their issues and clear confusion.
• Ex-Servicemen are exempted from the physical efficiency tests. Though, they have to qualify for physical measurement tests.

Document verification

It is the third phase of the test. The central recruitment committee is responsible for the verification of the documents.

• Document verification is only done after a candidate clears CBT and qualifies PET and PMT.
• In case two candidates have the same scares, the older one will get a higher merits position.
• If a candidate is not present for document verification, their candidature is canceled.
• The appointment of any candidate is subjected to their document verification, medical exam, and completion of the training period.
• Candidates must notice that the final recommendation is by CRC and the appointment letter is released by the subsequent railway administration.
