The syllabus PDF for the KSP Exams already got published on the official website of the KSP Department.

However, the KSP Exams notification got declared on the official website on 19th August 2021.

KSP Exams Pattern 2021

KSP Exams gets divided into three categories:

  1. Firstly, the written exam.
  2. Secondly, the Physical Standard exam.
  3. Then, the Physical Endurance exam.
  4. Lastly, the Medical exam.

The minimum qualifying score for the applicants is 30.

The KSP Exams Pattern is necessary for the applicants.

They can plan a schedule and study for the exam.

They can prepare themselves better before sitting for the exam.

Hence, the KSP Exams Pattern can give an idea to the students on how the questions will come. What will be the marks given, what will be the exam duration. Two subject papers are very much necessary for this exam. Firstly, the Language Paper. Secondly, the General Studies Paper.

 

The Written Exam Paper Pattern for Prelims Exam 2021

  1. Firstly, the Prelims Exam has two papers. Hence, the total number of questions on the exam paper is 200 (50+150).
  2. Hence, the total timing of the exam is 90 minutes. Each paper has 45 minutes to solve.
  3. Therefore, the exam has a total of 200 marks. There are 200 questions (50 marks + 150 marks).
  4. The 1st paper will have descriptive-type questions. The 2nd paper will have MCQ questions.
  5. The MCQ question papers will have negative markings. 1/4th of negative marking will get deducted for every incorrect answer.
  6. Also, the 1st Paper is a language paper. It will consist of questions on the Eng/Kannada language. This paper has a total of 50 marks.
  7. Lastly, the 2nd Paper is MCQ questions type. The subject for this paper gets based on a General Studies paper. This paper has a total of 150 questions. Hence, it will have 150 marks (1 mark for each).

The Written Exam Paper Pattern for Mains Exam 2021

  1. For Mains Exam, only descriptive questions come.
  2. Just like the Prelims Exam Paper-I, the Mains exam paper is also a language paper.
  3. It will consist of questions based on the Eng/Kannada language. The questions include essay writing, translation, summary writing, etc.
  4. This paper has a total of 50 marks as there will be 50 questions.
  5. The essay writing will have 20 marks.
  6. The summary writing will have ten marks.
  7. The translation writing will be 20 marks.
  8. The translation paper will have translation questions from Eng to Kannada and Kannada to Eng. The essay and summary writing can get written down in Eng/Kannada language. It depends on the applicant’s desires.
  9. The exam paper timing will be of 90 minutes.
