In the official notification of HTET 2020-21, BSEH also specified the syllabus of the exams for each post. Hence, how many subjects the candidates will have to appear for depends on the posts they have applied for. Below is the summarised syllabus of the HTET 2021 exam.
The common subjects for all the posts are— Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, GK, English, Hindi, Child Development and Pedagogy. For levels 2 and 3, viz. posts of Trained Graduate Teachers and Post Graduate Teachers, the additional subject will be the subject which the candidate has applied for. For the Primary Teacher candidates, the additional sections will be Mathematics and Environmental Science.

HTET Exam Pattern depends on the post or the level of the exam. Yet, one thing is common for all the levels— which is the total number of questions will be 150. You have to solve the paper within 2 hours 30 minutes. The major points of the exam pattern are as follows:

This is the post of a Primary Teacher. The selected candidates will have to teach from class I to class V.

A Trained Graduate Teacher is meant to teach class VI to class VII.

The Post Graduate Teachers will have the responsibility to teach students of class IX to class XII.

A. The exams for all the posts in HTET 2021 have to be completed within 2 hours and 30 minutes. Practice solving papers within this time. So it will be easier when the time comes.
A. Though the exam will be conducted offline, i.e. in pen and paper mode, it is not a descriptive exam. All the questions will be multiple-choice based.
A. The qualifying marks in all the levels aka posts in HTET 2021 are 55% (82 marks) for the SC and PwD candidates of Haryana, and 60% (90 marks) for candidates belonging to all other categories and living anywhere in India including Haryana.
A. The Board of Secondary Education, Haryana will decide your posting once you get selected. Usually, they try to employ people in schools not very far from their residences. But of course, it will be one of Haryana’s schools.
A. The paper will contain a total of 150 questions, carrying 1 mark each.
A. Luckily, HTET 2021 exam does not have negative markings. So that is not going to be an extra burden during the examination. You can answer the questions in a more relaxed state of mind.
