For a candidate taking a competitive test, the admit card is a crucial document. When applicants enter the test room, their admit cards serve as documentation of their identity. Admit Cards are made available for the UPSC IAS Exam around three weeks before to the tests. In the first week of May, IAS Prelims Exam admit cards were made available. The test was given on June 5, 2022. The IAS Mains Exam is scheduled for September 16, 2022, and the admit cards are anticipated to be made available in August 2022.

UPSC IAS 2022 – Important Instructions Related to Covid-19
Due to the pandemic, UPSC has given some guidelines to follow by the candidates for their safety. These are:
Candidates are required to carry a mask and wear it all the time inside and outside the exam centers. Wearing a mask is necessary otherwise and candidates shall not be allowed inside the exam centers without one.
Candidates must remove their masks for verification whenever asked.
Candidates are allowed to carry a small water bottle and a sanitizer with them.
Candidates must make sure that social distancing is maintained all the time inside and outside the exam hall centers.
UPSC will follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Candidates need to make sure that they are in possession of the following documents on the day of the examination along with their Admit Card. Not being in possession will lead to disqualification from the exam.

UPSC IAS 2022 – General Instructions
The following are a few of the instructions seen on the UPSC IAS admit cards:
This year, the UPSC changed certain things about its admission cards. The candidate’s identification card number may be found on their admission cards. The UPSC received the ID proof number from the students when they submitted their application. Candidates must bring the same ID evidence to the testing location.
Candidates must be at their exam locations 10 minutes before the test begins. It is required in order to protect the applicants from difficulties.
It is forbidden to use electronic or communication devices within test facilities. Even in the off position, candidates are not allowed to carry a cell phone. If a candidate is found guilty, they must submit to disciplinary measures and may possibly be prohibited from taking any future UPSC tests.
Candidates may also fill out their OMR sheets with ballpoint pens (only in black). Candidates’ responses won’t be examined if they fill out their OMR sheets with any other colour pen.
Additionally, papers submitted by candidates who have any kind of recognition mark on their OMR sheets will not be examined.
Candidates should be aware that any error or inconsistency in the OMR forms they submit will result in the rejection of such forms. When filling out test data such the roll number, Booklet code, and series code, students need to pay close attention. These specifics may only be modified with the invigilator of the test center’s permission.
Candidates who qualify for the IAS Mains exam will be called for the Interview Stage. Call Letters for the Interview will be available on the official website of UPSC. The official dates and schedule for the interview stage are not available as of yet and will be updated once the Mains Examination is concluded.
Ans. The registration process for UPSC IAS Prelims started on 2nd February 2022 and was open till 22nd February 2022. After that, the Admit Card for the Prelims examination was released in the month of May and the exam was conducted on 5th June 2022. The admit card for the Mains examination was expected to be released in the month of August 2022.

Q.3 How can I know my UPSC roll no?
Ans. The roll number of the candidate can be found on the Admit Card of the candidate. The roll number is important in order to check the results of each examination. The merit list released after the Prelims contains the roll number and names of the qualified candidates. In a situation where you have forgotten your Registration ID or Roll number, you can click on the “Forgot RID” option, fill in the necessary details, and view your Registration No. and Roll Number again.
