METHOD TO CALCULATE DU JAT EXAM SCORE

NTA will calculate the candidates score by keeping in mind the following steps –

• Candidates receive four points for each correct answer in the exam.
• One mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
• The test has a maximum score of 400 points.
• After leveling the candidates’ grades, the equivalent percentage is computed.
• Candidates’ total score is determined by the number of correct and wrong answers.

METHOD TO NORMALIZE MARKS

The exam will be held in two shifts therefore NTA will have to be normalized to modify the difficulty level of the questions.

• The equi-percentile approach will be used to normalize the results of applicants taking the DU JAT 2021.
•  The merit list is finalized using the generated and equated percentile ranks.
• After all shifts for the same subject have completed their tests, the marks are normalized.

DU JAT ADMISSION BASED ON RANKING

The students will be ranked as per the following basis :

DU JAT TIE-BREAKING PROCESS

In the event of a tie in ranks, the technique outlined below is used to break the tie.

• Candidates having a higher percentage of marks in the qualifying exam (aggregate of best four subjects plus one language) are given first priority.
• Those who scored higher on the entrance exam are given priority for admission.
• Applicants in Class 12 who have the highest proportion of marks in the best five subjects, including one language, are regarded first.
• Candidates with an earlier birth date on their Class 10 certificate are given priority in the allotment.

Change of college /course process

The site will reopen in order to change the Course/College option. For one day following the announcement of the DU JAT result, the DU JAT result portal will be open for changing course-college preferences. Prior to concluding their order of selection, candidates should research the location of the college as well as the college tuition for the course. After that, no requests for a change of course or college will be considered.
