SPSAT exam and exam body

SPSAT is conducted once every year. The exam body for these is SPSU or Sir Padmavat Singhania University. This university was established in 2007. It is named after, the founder of the JK organization. The chairperson of this university is Mr. Nidhipati Singhania.

SPSU or Sir Padmavat Singhania University is a private university. JK cement group of organizations established the university. It was named after the founder of the JK cement group, Sir Padmavat Singhania. SPSU is established in Udaipur. It is one of the premier private universities in India. Started with a vision of providing world-class education, SPSU has more than 4000 students studying with them. SPSU gained UGC recognition in 2009. It became a member of the Association of Indian Unversity in 2013.

SPSU also has collaborations with a few foreign universities. These universities are-

• The University of Nebraska, Omaha, USA
• Chiba University of Commerce, Japan
• Lincoln University, Oakland, CA, USA

 

SPSU has little international industrial collaboration to provide the best work experience to their students.

 

SPSAT Basic Information

SPSU conducts the SPSAT every year for admission in various courses. For the year 2021, SPSAT has recently released the admission form. The last date to submit the form is not declared yet.

SPSAT facilitates admission in various courses at the under graduation and post-graduation levels. At the undergrad level, the courses offered are B.Tech, B.Com. , BHM and BBA. For the post-graduation level, SPSU offers courses like MBA, M.Tech (Civil Engg, Electric Engg, and Computer Engineering, etc.), M.Sc, and MCA. SPSU also offers courses at the doctoral level in subjects like biotech, chemistry, math, management, etc.

The language of papers is English. There is no negative marking in the exam.

SPSAT allows candidates to appear for the second exam in the same year if they are not satisfied with their performance. In such a scenario, they have to pay fees to SPSAT and can book another slot for the exam.

SPSU accepts applications from foreign students. Students from NAARC countries, few African countries, and some of the Middle East countries can apply for admission. SPSU will also help incoming foreign students with their pre and post visa activities, residential issues, and government formalities.

Once the events of application and examinations start, candidates appearing for SPSAT should look out for the following dates-

• Availability of application form
• Last date to submit the application form
• Release of admit card
• Exam date (within 10 days of confirmation of fees submission)
• Result

 

SPSAT has released its application forms. The last date to submit these forms is not declared yet. Candidates can fill the application form in both online and offline mode.

 

SPSAT Exam Date

SPSU has recently released the application form for the SPSAT 2021. The last date to fill the application form is not announced yet. Candidates are required to take SPSAT within 10 days of filling the form. Once candidates have registered for the SPSAT and submitted the fee, SPSU offers them the dates and exam slots. Candidates can choose the exam slot and appear for the exam.

If candidates are not happy with their score and their performance, they can book another slot by paying fees to SPSU. In one year, any candidate can appear two times. However, they have to submit the fees for both times.

SPSAT Exam Notification

SPSU conducts SPSAT every year. They decide the date of application and dates & slot of exams.  SPSU releases the notification of the availability of the application form on their website. Candidates should regularly check the website of SPSU for the details. Regarding SPSAT, candidates should keep the following things in mind-

• Once the application forms are out, candidates must fill the forms at the earliest.
• They then have an option of dates and time slots to choose and appear for the exam.
• There is no common exam date or time for all the candidates.
• Based on when you have filled the form, SPSU gives you the option of time and date.
• The announcement of the result is also based on your time and exam date.

 

SPSAT Registration Process

Registration for SPSAT is possible only on the official website of SPSU. Candidates can register for admission there. The registration process is done in both online or offline mode.

 

For online mode-

• On the home page, click on “apply now”.
• Fill in the details asked and press register.
• You will get a verification mail. Click on that.
• After verification, fill in all the required details and upload the documents. For this process, scan all your mark sheets and certificates in advance. SPSU gives you time to prepare the documents.
• After uploading documents, submit your application fees.
• SPSU will give you options for exam dates and time slots. Book them.
• Appear for the exam.

 

For Offline mode-

• You can download the application form from the website. You can also get the application form from campus, office, or bookshops.
• Fill the application form carefully.
• Attach all the required documents.
• In this mode, you can either submit the application fees online or make a demand draft of Rs 1175. Make the demand draft in favor of the university, and attach it with the application form.
• Now you can either hand it over at the university office or send it by post.
• University will contact you to confirm the date and time. On the date and on your time slot, you can appear for the exam.

 

Important points-

• Remember that you cannot appear for the exam before or after your booked slot and date.
• In case you want to change the date and time, you can contact SPSU to reschedule your exam timing.
• Make sure you have a stable internet connection.
• Appear in your exam from a computer or laptop. Don’t use a tab or mobile phone.
• Do not move away from the computer or your exam will automatically get submitted.
• If you open any tab or browser, the program will give one warning but after that, your exam will automatically get submitted.

 

Eligibility Criteria

There are the following eligibility criteria for the candidates appearing for SPSAT.

 

Age

• There is no age for candidates appearing in SPSAT. This means candidates of any age can appear for this exam.
• You can give this entrance exam at any age and as many times as you want.

 

Nationality

• Admission in SPSAT is open for students of foreign nationality too. Though SPSU accepts applications from a few countries.
• Some of these countries are- Nepal, Bangladesh, Maldives, Oman, UAE, Morocco, etc. the whole list of countries is given on the SPSU website.

 

Educational Qualification

Following are the detail of the educational qualifications required for the undergraduate program-

• The minimum qualification is 12th.
• First division i.e. minimum 60% in 12th grade.
• following is the subject requirement for UG courses

For the postgraduate courses, the following requirements are there-

• Graduation in mentioned subject/subjects.
• For some courses, the minimum percentage is mentioned.
• For M.Tech in Biotechnology, a minimum qualification of B.Tech or M.Sc is required. Candidates must have studied Life Science or Biotechnology or Microbiology as their main subjects.
• For M.Tech in Computer Network Engineering and Data Mining, a minimum qualification of B.Tech, MCA, or M.Sc is required. Subjects like Math or Physics or Electronics or Computer sciences should be the main subjects.
• For M.Tech in Power system in engineering, application of students with B.Tech/M.Sc in electrical engineering or electronics or physics s accepted.
• Candidates who have done B. Tech in Mechanical or production engineering can apply for M.Tech in machine design or manufacturing engineering.
• All the other required courses for various M.Tech streams per mentioned in the SPSU prospectus.

 

Scholarships

Sir Padmavat Singhania University also offers scholarships to its students.

• Tech Merit Scholarship- Based on the admission scores, SPSU offers scholarships to student in B.Tech. The scholarship differs based on the state of the candidate and their score. They also offer scholarships based on marks of X, XII, and JEE mains percentile.
• BBA Merit Scholarship- For candidates applying for BBA courses, based on their SPSAT scores, SPSU offers merit scholarships. Similarly based on the marks of X and XII, they offer another merit scholarship.
• MBA Merit Scholarship- One merit Scholarship for MBA has based scores of SPSAT and another one is based on performance score in graduation and common test.
• Tech Merit Scholarship- SPSU offers one merit scholarship for M.Tech based on SPSAT scores and another one based on graduation percentage and performance marks of XII.
• JK Scholarship- These are for the wards of employees of SPSU or JK organization. These are also of two types. These details are in the school brochure.
• Sport and Cultural Scholarship- This scholarship considers the achievement of candidates post 8th grade.
• SPSU has mentioned the criteria of each of these scholarships on its website. All the candidates must study these properly.

 

Exam Syllabus

The syllabus for SPSAT depends upon the course you want to take admission in. If you are applying for under graduation courses, the course would be of respective subjects of high school.

B.Tech- For candidates appearing for B.Tech the syllabus would include Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English. The questions would cover topics studied in 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade.

B.Com/BHM/BBA- Candidates who are appearing for B.Com/BHM/BBA would have to study commerce of 11th and 12th grade. The syllabus would also include Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning, Aptitude, GK, and English. The questions would be 12th-grade level.

 

English-

This will include

• Basic Grammar,
• Comprehension,
• Phrases and Idioms,
• Synonyms And Antonyms,
• Tenses,
• Fill in the Blanks etc.

 

Reasoning-

This topic would include

• Logical Reasoning,
• Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning,
• Blood Relations,
• Sequences,
• Odd One Out Etc.

 

General Knowledge

This topic would include the

• Current Affairs,
• Recent Social and Economic Condition of Country,
• Indian History,
• Sports and Culture Etc.

 

Quantitative Aptitude

This tests if the candidates have a natural aptitude towards the subject or not.

MBA- For candidates applying to get admission in MBA courses should study GK, English, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. The questions in these subjects will be of graduation level. The sub-topics would be similar to BBA/BHM or B.Com. However, the level of questions would increase.

 

English

This subject would include topics like

General awareness

Quantitative Aptitude

This topic includes mostly numeracy such as-

• Coordination Geometry
• Mensuration
• Probability
• Ratios
• Time, Speed, and Distance
• Geometry
• Algebra
• Complex Numbers Etc.

 

Logical reasoning-

It would include the following topics

• Blood relation
• Inequality
• Syllogism
• Seating arrangement
• Coding-decoding
• Series
• Ranking order etc.

 

It is to be noted that for MBA, the questions would be of graduation level.

MCA- For the MCA course also, the candidate will have to study General Awareness, English, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. The questions will be graduation level here too.

M.Sc – When applying for M.Sc, candidates can apply with Mathematics or Physics as their subject. For M.Sc in these subjects, candidates must have finished their graduation in the respective subject.

Doctoral Courses- Candidates who want to study in Doctoral courses must have finished master level of studies with the respective subject as specialization.

SPSAT Exam Pattern-

Candidates who want to appear for SPSAT should know basic details about the exam.

• You can appear in the exam online mode.
• You can fill the application form in both offline and online mode.
• The language of the exam is English.
• Most of the papers are of 40 minutes. Each paper has 40 questions.
• There is no negative marking in SPSAT. This means that the candidates can attempt all the questions without worrying about the mark deduction.
• The syllabus for each course is different from others.
• Once the application fee is paid, candidates will book the exam slots according to their preferences.
• Every candidate can give their SPSAT twice in one sitting. In case you are not happy with your score, you can book another slot by paying the additional application fees.

SPSAT Admit Card

• After successful registration, candidates should submit their application fee.
• Once you will submit the fee, SPSU will give you exam slots.
• Book the exam slot that is most convenient to you.
• Then, candidates will get their admit cards.
• Download your admit card and take two prints out of it. Keep them safe. You will not be allowed to enter the exam center without the admit card.
• Since the exam dates and slots are different for candidates, there is no fixed date of release of admitting card by SPSAT.

SPSAT exam result

SPSU provides candidates with the results very quickly. All the exams conducted by SPSU are multiple-choice questions in an online format; SPSU can get the result of every exam very easily. After 2-3 days of taking exams, candidates will receive the result at their email address. If any candidate is not satisfied with their performance, they can give the SPSAT again. They have to submit the application fees once again, book the slot and can appear for the exam. In one cycle, any candidate can appear for the SPSAT exam twice.
