PESU is one of the premier institutions of teaching and research in India. It is also based in Bangalore. Furthermore, PESU is devoted to real-world education which encourages students to achieve their potential. Also, PESU is acronymous with the People’s Education Society. It was also established in 1972 by Dr. M R Doreswamy.  Further, it was established with a keen interest in promoting the education of the world. It also conducts the PESSAT.

Furthermore, PESU also provides UG, Ph.D., and PG programs. These programs include UG, PG, and PH.D. in pharmacy, engineering, and law. Also, it offers programs for commerce and management.

Furthermore, PESU offers diploma courses and PU courses. PESU was also known as the PES Institute of Technology (PESIT) in the past.

Also, PESU has four campuses in India. They are PESU RR Campus and PESU EC Campus. It also consists of the PESU HN Campus and the PESU Medical Campus.

About PESSAT Exam

PESU conducts the PESSAT every year. The full form of PESSAT is the PES Scholastic Aptitude Test.

So, the PESSAT is an entrance test conducted all over India. Above all,  the purpose is to give admissions to the candidates into the various programs. Also, its purpose is to grant admissions for the B.Arch., B.Tech, Pharmacy, and Law programs. So, PESU admits selected candidates to campuses in India.

Furthermore, the PESSAT entrance test is a computer-based test (CBT). Also, it is for 3 hours, and the language of the test is English.

Furthermore, there are no penalty scores for any incorrect responses. So, the number of questions is 120 or 180, depending on the course.

 

PESSAT Notification and News

Furthermore, PESU issues a notification PDF for the programs on its website. Its purpose, above all,  is to grant admission for the programs in the different PESU campuses.

Hence, the PESSAT Notice includes information like the number of seats and the criteria for the test. It also contains information on the application fee, important dates, syllabus, and exam pattern.

PESSAT Exam Date

In addition, PESU administers an entrance test for admissions into programs. Thus, it conducts an entrance test yearly. Above all, its purpose is to grant admission to candidates into the programs in the different PESU campuses.  So, PESU admits candidates to several campuses in India

Therefore, interested candidates must check the date for the PESSAT exam.

Also, the PESSAT exam is for 3 hours. Further, the entrance test is a computer-based test (CBT).

Furthermore, PESU will release the PESSAT exam result on the website. Candidates can, then, access the results from the official website of  PESU.

PESSAT Exam Center

Furthermore, PESU will conduct the PESSAT in 18 states across India for the B.Tech programs. But, candidates can only select one choice of an exam center.

But, once candidates have chosen the center and the PESU has allocated an exam center, it cannot get altered.

However, these exam centers listed below are only for B.Tech programs.

Furthermore, if candidates apply for courses offered at the Ring Road and Electronic city campus, the exam center is at the PESU RR Campus.

PESSAT Application Fee

The cost for the PESSAT online application is as per the campus. Also, the fee payment is available in an online method. Candidates can use Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card to pay. Once it has taken place, they will get a notice of the deduction in the bank account.

Also, candidates must wait at least 7 to 10 days to settle the money if no confirmation is received.  The application will only get processed further after the fee payment.

But, once paid, there will be no refunds of fees.

Candidates must also verify their payment status if their account gets debited and the site is interrupted before generating the payment receipt. So, they can confirm their payment status via the Know Your Payment Status feature on the homepage. Candidates must provide their details like User ID and mobile number.

However, candidates must again make a new payment if they notice the payment details are unavailable.

Candidates must wait for at least 7 to 10 working days to get the refund if the account gets debited for the failed transaction.

 

Offline Fee payment

Payment is also available offline. So, candidates can make offline payments to any branch of the banks.

Also, they must select the option of cash payment for offline payment. Then, they can download the e-challan from the download challan option.

Also, the candidates can pay via a demand draft in favor of the PESU General Fund.

Finally, candidates must deposit the application fee at any branch of nationalized banks.

So, the bank will issue one challan for the candidate and one for PESU. Then, candidates must scan the PESU challan copy and upload it to the application.

 

Course-wise Application Fee

Further, the fee for the application is Rs 1050/- only. However, it applies to all the UR and OBC candidates. The SC, ST, and OBC(NC) candidates must also pay Rs 1050/- for the application fee.

However, the application fee for the courses of the PES HN campus is Rs 550/- only. The acronym for the PES HN campus is PES Hanumanth Nagar. It is also known as PESCP or the PES College of Pharmacy. So, the candidates seeking admissions for pharmacy courses in the HN campus must only pay Rs. 550/-.

PESSAT Application Process

Furthermore, PESU has issued the Notice PDF for PESSAT 2021. Also, it has notified applications for the PESSAT. But, the PESU has many campuses. Altogether, there are three campuses under it. These are the PESU Ring Road Campus, PESU EC Campus, and PESU Hanumanth Nagar Campus. So, these offer admissions into different programs. Therefore, interested candidates may apply for these programs on the PES website.

However, the interested candidates must follow the application process to register for the PESSAT 2021.

Also, the PESSAT has an application procedure. However, the online application consists of various stages. Thus, the step-by-step process that candidates must follow is.

A step-by-step process for PESSAT application

The step-by-step process for the PESSAT application is.

Step 1: Firstly, Candidates must visit the official website of PESU or click www.pes.edu/pessat.

Step 2: Secondly, go to the PESSAT Registration link and click the signup option for the test.

Step 3: Thirdly, they must provide their name, phone number, sex, date of birth, class, etc.

Step 4: Fourthly, they will receive an OTP or one-time password in their phone number. Hence, it is to verify the number in which you have registered. Also, there will be a single registration number.

Step 5: Candidates must also pay the PESSAT application fee. They can either pay online or offline. So, they can use Net banking, credit card, or debit cards for online payments. However, candidates must go to the branch office of the State Bank of India for offline payment.

So, candidates must download the e-challan from the PESU Website. Then, they must scan a copy of the e-challan and submit it to PESU in the application form.

Step 6: Furthermore, candidates must fill the PESSAT form online with the registration number and further data. Also, they must submit the academic certificates, passport photographs, signature, etc., in the required format. Then, click on the submit button.

Step 7: Finally, candidates must print the application form for future purposes.

So, the step-by-step process for the PESSAT application form is

Step1: Details of the Candidate: Firstly, candidates must provide their details on the application form. Furthermore, they must provide their name, date of birth, and gender. In addition, they must also submit the name of the father and mother.

Step 2: Name of the Qualifying Exam: Secondly, candidates must state their educational qualifications. So, they must specify their education qualifications. Furthermore, they must also mention their admit card number and the location of study.

Step 3: Name of the Entrance Exam: Thirdly, candidates must select the name of the entrance test. Therefore, candidates must click the PESSAT.

Step 4: Photo and Signature: Fourthly, candidates must upload their photograph and signature as per the prescribed format.

Step 5: Name of the regional center for the exam: Furthermore, candidates must select their preferred exam center in their region.

Step 6: Name of the category: Next, candidates must select the category that they belong to. So, candidates can select UR, SC, ST, and OB(NC). Furthermore, candidates who belong to special categories must select NCC, CAP, or Sports.

Step 7:  Name of the preferred course:  Also, applicants must select the name of the course or program that they want to take admission to.

Step 8: Minority and Non-Minority: Furthermore, ST, SC, and OBC candidates must choose the minority. On the other hand, OC candidates must select the Non-minority button.

Step 9: Taking a printout of the application form: Finally, candidates must take a colored printout of the filled application form for future references.

Firstly, candidates are required to scan their photographs. The photographs must also be clear and recently taken.

  • Scanned Copy of any identity proof, such as Voter Card/ PAN Card/ Aadhar Card/ Passport, etc

Thirdly, candidates must provide a photocopy of any identity proof. They can also submit any identity proof such as a Voter ID Card, Pan Card, Aadhar Card, or Passport size photos.

  • Class 10 Mark sheet

Fourthly, applicants must submit the class 10 mark sheet.

  • Class 12 marks Certificate

Next, candidates must provide a copy of the class 12th marks Certificate.

  • Caste and Tribe Certificate and Creamy Layer Certificate issued by the competent authority

Finally, candidates must submit the caste certificates to claim reservations. Also, they must provide a non-creamy layer certificate (NC) issued by the competent authority.

  • If Physically Handicapped Persons (PHP), a certificate from the competent authority

Furthermore, candidates must also submit PHP certificates. However, this only applies to disabled persons.

Since the PES University also gives reservations to PHP candidates. Therefore, PHP candidates must provide a PHP certificate issued by the authority.

  • Migration Certificate for candidates

Next, candidates must also submit a migration certificate issued by a competent authority. The competent authority must be the head of the college/institution/ university.

  • Bonafide Certificate for final year candidates

Also, final year aspirants must submit a bonafide certificate signed by the head of the university.

  • Passport and Visa for Foreign nationals/NRIs/PIOs candidates only.

Furthermore, foreign nationals/NRIs/PIOs candidates must submit their passport or visa to avail quota for admission.

  • Caste Certificate

Finally, candidates must also submit the caste certificate to claim reservations respectively.

Specifications to upload a photograph

Furthermore, candidates must also follow certain specifications to upload a photograph in an application form.

So, candidates must follow these specifications for successful registration.

  1. Firstly, the photograph must be clear and recently taken.
  2. Secondly, the photograph of candidates must be ideally be colored and taken against a plain white background.
  3. Thirdly, the candidate must not wear any excessive ornamentations such as glares, hairs, or caps in the photograph.
  4. Fourthly, applicants who wear spectacles need to ensure there are no reflections. Furthermore, their eyes in the photo must be visible.
  5. Next, the photograph should only display the face and shoulders of candidates.
  6. Also, the passport photograph must be a clear one in JPEG/PNG format.
  7. Furthermore, the photograph must not exceed 2MB.
  8. Finally, the photograph/ passport photo must contain red-eye because of the shine.

Specifications to upload a signature

Candidates must also follow certain specifications to upload a signature in an application form.

So, candidates must follow these specifications for successful registration.

  1. Firstly, the signature of a candidate must be clear.
  2. Secondly, candidates must sign on blank white paper with a dark ink pen.
  3. Thirdly, candidates must scan their signature with pixel measurements of 303 x 132 pixels.
  4. Finally, the signature of a candidate on the application form must match the signature in the exam. However, if it does not match, they will not be permitted to write the exam.

Eligibility Criteria I

  • Age Limit

Firstly, the age limit is one of the criteria that candidates must fulfill to qualify. Candidates must be at least 17 years of age and not more than 25 years (December 2021). Also, this applies to all categories.

Candidates must also submit their date of birth certificate as recorded in the 10+2 certificate.

Eligibility Criteria II

 

  • Qualification

Secondly, candidates must possess the essential qualification for the PESSAT. Also, they should have a minimum education qualification from a recognized board or school.

Likewise, candidates applying for the PESSAT should have finished their 12th class in any stream. Also, they must possess a certificate from a recognized board by the Government of India.

However, the educational qualification differs for each program.

Above all, it is essential to clear all subjects per the school board.

  • Candidates must have secured an aggregate of at least 50% in their 12th grade in Physics, Maths, Computer Science, Biotechnology.
  • Also, the test scores obtained by candidates in PESSAT, KCET, and JEE mains are compulsory.

 

BBA and BBA Sports Management They must obtain an aggregate score of 50% in their 12th class in any field from any recognized board.
B.DES Program Aspirants must also secure at least 50% in the 12th grade in any field from a recognized board with English as a mandatory course.

OR

They must secure an aggregate of at least 50% in the 3-year diploma course, with English as mandatory.

BB and LLB programs
  • Candidates must complete their 12th class in any field from a recognized board. They must also obtain a minimum of total marks of 45%.
  • The SC and ST candidates must have total marks of at least 40%. However, 39.5% and above shall be 40%.
  • The OC candidates must have at least 45% in the qualifying exam.
  • Also, they must take the CLAT, PESSAT, and LSAT. Also, these scores are mandatory.

MCA Programs
  • They must complete a BCA degree

  • They must have completed B.Sc, B.Com, BA with Math in 12th grade or at UG level.
  • They must also secure at least 50% marks in the exam.
MBA Programs They must have at least 50% in BA from any recognized University. Also, the test scores obtained by candidates in PESSAT, PGCET, MAT, CMAT, CAT, GMAT, GRE are considered.
M.Tech Programs They must obtain at least 50% in Engineering from any recognized university.
M.Tech Cybersecurity Engineering They must have work experience of at least three years with any corporate.

They must also secure an aggregate of at least 60% in Engineering from a recognized University.

Thirdly, nationality is another criteria that candidates applying for the PESSAT 2021 must meet. So, candidates must be Indian citizens.

But, candidates who are Kashmir migrants must provide a Kashmir Migrant Certificate signed by a competent authority.

Furthermore, foreign nationals, NRIs, and PIOs can apply for the programs at PESU. However, they must submit their passport or visa for admission.

PESSAT Intake

Accordingly, PESU has released the PESSAT 2021 Notice for programs at various campuses. Altogether, there are three campuses under PES, each offering different programs.

So, the three campuses are the PESU RR Campus, PESU EC campus, and PESU HN campus. The programs are engineering, design, and architecture. It also includes commerce, management, pharmacy, and research. It has also announced vacancies for these programs for each PESU campus in detail.

To begin with, in 2021, PES has announced 3,444 intakes for the programs in the Ring Road campus. It has released at least 1080 intakes for the programs on the EC campus.

PESU has also issued around 1789 seats for the programs on the HN campus.
