NATA is a nationwide entrance exam for admission to architecture undergraduate programs. In order to take admission to the Architecture course, an aptitude test is designed. The Council of Architecture (CoA) founded NATA in 2006. This exam is an entrance test for the graduate program. The questions are asked on general architecture history, geometry, shapes, materials etc. The question paper is 200 marks all in all.
NATA full form: National Aptitude Test in Architecture
NATA consists of two parts namely, the theory and the drawing test. Applicants can sit in the exam if they qualify for all eligibility criteria. However, the mode of the exam is online.
NATA is designed in a way where it tests the aptitude of the candidate that cannot be taught, learnt or induced. Also, NATA does not guarantee or give any right to the candidate for their admission to any architectural course unless the candidate has fulfilled other requirements as prescribed.

COVID-19 forced CoA to split NATA 2021 into three sessions. Therefore, the first phase of the exam was held on April 10th. The second phase was held on July 11th. Some candidates attended more than one session. However, only the best of the three determines final B.Arch. admissions. Moreover, there will be no central admissions counselling conducted by the CoA. Successful candidates will apply for direct admission to a participating college.
The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) was established in 2006. The Council of Architecture (CoA) regulates NATA. Moreover, the CoA functions according to certain provisions. The CoA was established under (Minimum Standards of Architectural Education) Regulations, 1983. The regulations were published in the Indian Gazette.
The architecture field is different from general engineering subjects. Therefore, it is crucial to have a separate aptitude exam for architecture admission. There is a separate test for engineering, pharmacy, medicine, and other areas. This entrance exam establishes a single exam scheme for architectural aptitude tests. Besides, NATA allows students from India to apply for admission in architecture courses. This particular exam is also called the NATA entrance exam for architecture enthusiasts.
Applicants can avail many institutes without the hustle of several aptitude exams. Thus, NATA is the eligibility criteria for admission to a five-year (B.Arch.) degree program. Step 1: Registration – This is the first step of the NATA 2022 application form. Therefore, first, register yourself by providing the required information. The information generally includes –
By the time of completion of step 1, a username and password are generated. These credentials are required for future login.
Step 2: Fill out the application form by NATA log in – Candidates had to log in with their username and password. Thereafter, fill out all of the required information. The information includes personal as well as academic details. In addition to this, a selection of exam centres is required. Candidates have three choices in order of preference.
Step 3: Upload Scanned Images of Documents – Upload scanned images of your photograph, signature, and community certificate. Upload the documents in the format specified by the bodies (if applicable).
Step 4: Application Number Generation – Submit the application form only when documents are uploaded. An 8-digit application number is generated after submitting the NATA 2022 application.
Step 5: Pay the Application Fee – The application fee is paid online (through credit/debit card or net banking).
Step 6: Take a printout of the Confirmation page. – Lastly, The application confirmation page appears. Upon completion of all of the preceding procedures, confirmation is required. Take a printout of this confirmation page for further use.

NATA exam syllabus is divided into two parts mainly. Firstly, the Mathematic and general aptitude test. Secondly, the drawing test takes place.
For the first part-

NATA releases the NATA result after completion of the testing process. Moreover, CoA will release the NATA 2022 result for Phase 3. The result is available on the official website. The result was released on September 8. Therefore, Applicants can download the scorecard now. Print it out later as it is important for the admission process.
Major Key points regarding the NATA 2022 exam result-
The bodies disclose the response sheets before the final result.
However, they upload the response sheet only for Part A.
The body has reduced the qualifying score of NATA 2022 from 75 to 70.
Score At least 25% in MCQ part (Part A) – 30 out of 120. In addition to this, a minimum of 25% marks in Drawing port (Part B). The minimum mark for Part B is 20 out of 80

Successful candidates can appear in counselling sessions. The CoA officials do not hold a NATA 2022 joint counselling session.
