LEET stands for Haryana Lateral Engineering Entrance Test. LEET is the exam that offers direct entry to diploma holders in the 2nd year or 3rd semester. This is a state-level exam. But candidates from the whole of India can appear in it.
The HSTES conducts LEET, Lateral Entry Entrance Test for B. E and B.Tech courses. Engineering is the most common course Indian student opt for. This test is for students who completed 3 years diploma course and wants to pursue engineering. LEET, is for students willing to take admission in the 2nd year or 3rd semester of BE and B.Tech course. This Haryana LEET is a state-level exam and is for colleges within the state.

LEET 2022 Exam Dates will possibly be announced in Jan/Feb 2022. It will possibly be organized by online mode. The exam is conducted by the Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES). The entrance exam is known by the Haryana Lateral Entry Entrance Test (Haryana LEET).

Previously LEET application forms would come in April but because of the second wave of COVID-19, it was postponed.
Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) has not released LEET 2022 exam dates along with the official notification. The table below shows the tentative official LEET 2022 exam dates:

Details regarding the second and third phases of the exam in 2022 are still unavailable. It will be reflected here as the dates are announced. However, till then one can conjecture the time gaps seeing the details of the 2021 exam mentioned ahead in the description.
The application forms are available from 20 August 2021 to 20 September 2021. Throughout the process is online.
Haryana State Technical Education Society will release the inter-se-merit list on 27th September 2021, after 5 p.m. LEET Counseling dates are available and registration for counseling will start from 27th September 2021 to 30 September 2021. This is for all BE and B. Tech lateral candidates who want to appear in LEET 2021. First LEET counseling will start from 28th September 2021 to 30th September 2021 till 12:00 p.m. The first counseling results will declare from 1st October 2021 to 6th October 2021.
And registration process for the second LEET counseling will start from 8th October 2021 to 10th October 2021. The seat allotment result for the second counseling will declare on 11th October. From 12 October 2021 to 14 October 2021 students can go for second counseling. The examination conducting authority will release the final cut-off list on 30 October 2021. The LEET final cut-off date as per the Institute for all admission on the HSTES portal is 31st October 2021.
To sit for the examination, LEET eligibility criteria are present. And so accordingly, one candidate sits for the exam.
A candidate of the general category appearing for the Haryana LEET examination must have 45% marks in diploma engineering or three years technological course. This can be from the Haryana State Board of Technical Education or any equivalent institution. The candidate completing a B.Sc. Mathematics degree from a recognized University. As defined by UGC, should obtain at least 45% of marks and passed the 12th standard with mathematics.
Candidate from reserved category must have 42.75 marks in diploma in Engineering and Technology of duration three years. This can be from the Haryana State Board of Technical Education or from any equivalent Institute. B.Sc. degree from recognized University with at least 42.75 percent of marks and standard 12 with mathematics as a subject.
Kashmiri migrants and Haryana migrants have some other relaxation. To look into the eligibility visit the link below. Qualification for Kashmiri migrants is the same as other candidates, but they get a relaxation of 10% in the cut-off marks in Haryana LEET. And each university or institute in Haryana is reserved for Kashmiri migrants for this lateral entry in the second-year engineering course. Seats for Kashmiri migrants will be filled after the inter-se-merit percentage of the qualifying exam is calculated. Haryana LEET also offers a tuition fee waiver scheme only for those candidates whose annual income is less than 6 lakh. And certain documents are needed to verify the process. This TWF category will be on the merit list of the Haryana LEET examination.
To be eligible with the tuition fee waiver scheme for Haryana Leet 2021 and so the sits for this scheme are available after the first counseling This scheme gives facility to those students whose parent’s income is less than 6 lakh per year and only those candidates are eligible for this scheme. Original documents do need to avail of this tuition fee waiver scheme. Under this scheme, colleges give allowance to the student to get admission in engineering courses documents such as income certificate of parents. Haryana resident certificate, Aadhaar number, or any government ID proof.
Candidates from Haryana will have the same marks cut-off, but all colleges will have a 15% reservation for residents.
According to the state government maximum of 10% of the seats are reserved for economically weaker section category, to get lateral admission to second-year engineering courses in this category certain criteria are needed

LEET registration form can be filled on the online portal. Registration forms are available on the official site of the Haryana State Technical Education Society. First, candidates have to register online for the lateral entry test from the official portal. After completing the registration process, and then they have to go for the application process. Finally, they have to upload the documents. The application fees for the LEET exam 2021 are rupees 500 for all general category main and women. And the application fees of rupees 200 for SC and ST category male and female.
Counseling fees of rupees 500 are applicable for all candidates of different categories. This fee is for candidates willing to go for counseling.
Note: Application fees and counseling are not refundable once paid. For candidates who will not deposit the online application fee, the form will be rejected.

An online application that was filled by the LEET at present is verified by the authority whether proper information is put or not. When all the information and details are checked properly inter-se-merit percentage qualifying examination is prepared. And will be available on the official site of HSTES. No other result card will be issued, this is the final result card. . Any discrepancy in the form during the submission will not get the result. And if also fees payment is not the successful result will not be declared, and it is a subject to rejection.
In the registration process, the candidate has to fill in certain information in the registration form to complete it. Once registration is completed, login credentials are sent. Candidates need to upload passport size photographs and valid signatures on the application form. And then submit the form in the portal. After getting an inter-se-merit percentage, candidates can register themselves for the online LEET counseling after depositing rupees 500. This payment is applicable for all category including general, SC, ST, PWD, and TWF, and economic weaker section. Payment can be made through debit cards, credit card online net banking, and also E-Challan. This payment is not refundable.
Registration for counseling would be done on the official website. During the registration for counseling, the candidate needs to submit all required documents. Haryana’s candidates should bring a Haryana resident certificate. Reserved category should bring their caste certificate. TWF category should bring all necessary required documents for availing of that scheme.
Candidates who already registered for first counseling should not register again for 2nd counseling. During registration, students should create their passwords for future login. One should fill the application form after fulfilling the eligibility criteria for B.Tech lateral entry. Qualification and percentage of examination are the main requirements for the candidate. The candidate should know the LEET exam syllabus and pattern well. LEET Exam is an online exam only and one paper is there, but different sections are there in it. All questions are of objective types and full marks are 90. The total time duration is one and a half hours. The question paper comprises four sections.
The full marks of this exam are 90. Four sections have different marking systems. The correct answer will get one mark and the wrong answer will not get any marks. No negative marking will be there. Un-attempted questions will not get any marks. Hence, it is considered as zero.
In which section A consists of Basic Science and section B consists of Electronic stream courses and Section C for mechanical courses and section D for other stream questions. As per the student’s choice, they can attempt the question accordingly. LEET examination is conducted for the lateral entry in engineering courses. And for it, a common LEET Exam pattern is there. This is the state-level examination only for Haryana state and its colleges.
In section A, basic science will have 25 questions of 25 marks. Mathematics and physics will have eight questions from each subject. And other subjects in this section will have 3 questions from each subject, carrying 1 mark for every question.
Section B, the electronic stream, will also have 25 marks of 25 questions.
In these three subjects of electrical engineering, the subject Elements of Electronics Engineering will have 9 questions and the other two subjects in this section will have 8 questions in each chapter.
Section C Mechanical engineering stream will have only 20 questions of 20 marks
Element of electrical engineering will have eight questions and the rest two subjects will have 6 questions from each subject.
And other engineering courses will have 20 questions with 20 marks from various topics. Total 90 questions of 90 marks, and each question carries one mark.
HSTES will declare the LEET result. So, candidates can go through the results on the website and where conducting authority will declare the LEET result. The result will be based on the inter-se-merit list issued by the conducting authority.
Candidates who appeared for the LEET 2021 need to visit the official website of HSTES. Click on the result notification for lateral entry 2021 when it is available. Click the website and put credentials such as login ID and password. The LEET result is available on the screen.
LEET cut-off is the minimum score to get qualified in the institute or colleges. Haryana’s cut-off list declares the same. This enables the student to get a seat in colleges and get admission.
