Basic Information about JSAT:

The JSAT is organized by JGU. The exam is conducted via online mode. The candidates appearing for the exam should be well versed in the English language. Since, the test is open for all, especially the international group, the exam is entirely English based.

The JSAT exam is a multiple-choice question-based exam. The test consists of 120 questions and the candidate is allowed to complete the test in 120 minutes. The test paper has 3 segments which are divided into Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Skills. A tabular representation is given below.

JSAT Exam Date:

The JSAT 2021 entrance test is organized by O.P. Jindal Global University. The exam was conducted between January 17 to June 17, 2021.

The application form for the exam got released on 1st December 2020 on the official website of admissions.jgu.edu.in. The candidates are allowed to take the JSAT exam every year. There is no upper age limit for the test. Every registration for JSAT will be counted as a new registration.

For JSAT 2022, the notification for the exam is yet to be notified by the authorities. The table given below is a tentative assumption of the important dates for the exam.

JSAT Notification:

The candidates who wished to appear in the JSAT 2021, have completed the registration process via the University’s official website. The exam has already been conducted between January 17 to June 17, 2021. The results were declared on July 25, 2021. Due to the outbreak of the pandemic, the university decided to conduct the exam online mode this time.

The candidates are required to fill the application form for JSAT via the Pearson Vue website  https://home.pearsonvue.com/JSAT. The Pearson Vue testing organization conducts the JSAT exam on behalf of the Jindal Global University. This time the JSAT exam was conducted in online mode rather than in offline mode. The candidates appeared for the exam from their respective homes. However, the result was based on merit performance.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

The JSAT exam that was conducted earlier in 2021 have had the following eligibility criteria to be followed. While applying for the test, the aspirants must have filled in for their respective courses. Each course holds individual criteria which have to be followed while filling up the application form. In the brochure, the details are given.

The primary thing that the individual should look for is whether they are the desirable candidate or not. Individuals who do not have the same criteria might face the cancellation of candidature. The checklist for eligibility criteria should have these pointers in common.

• The applicant must be an Indian citizen or an NRI or a PIO holder.
• The candidate must have passed the secondary board exam or plus two. Or any equivalent exam with 60% marks from a recognized board.
• The applicant must have cleared their backlogs if any. During the time of admission, it is not permissible that the individual has failed in any other exams.
• The minimum age of admission is above 17years and more. No candidate below age 17 years will be given admission.

 

Registration for JSAT applications:

The applicants who wish to appear in the JSAT exam would have to register themselves first. For the registration process to start, the candidate has to log in to the official website. The university i.e. https://www.jgbs.edu.in. The application forms for 2021 have already been laid down by the university in December 2020.

To join in for the upcoming session, the university will publish the application details on its website. By this December it will publish details for the new session. The process of registration is the same for years. It will remain the same for upcoming years. The individuals who have already been part of the application process know the details to fill-up the form. This stepwise information is for the newcomers.

In the registration process, the applicants have to follow certain guidelines to reach their destination i.e. the application forms.

• Log in to the official website of the institute i.e. https://www.jgbs.edu.in
• Click on the tab where JSAT registration or application window appears.
• The window will take the applicant to a new page where they will be filling up their credentials.
• Towards the end of the registration, the applicant must click on the submit tab. A new registration ID and password are then created.
• The applicant can then log in with the credentials and start filling up the form.

 

The process of filling the application form begins when the applicant receives the credentials from the university portal via mail. The next point that would arise is how to fill up the application form?

• The applicant has to login to the official website of the institute i.e. https://www.jgbs.edu.in
• In the application form, the details are to be filled up by the candidate for the JSAT test.
• The candidate then needs to fill the course of study, the center of exam, time slots, etc.
• Uploading the desired size image and signature mentioned on the instruction page or in the brochure. Both the signature and photo should be in. jpeg format.
• The next step is to pay for the exam fee. The website directs into a secure portal for fee payment. The applicant has to pay a sum of Rs. 950 which is non-refundable.
• In the next step, the application preview can be viewed. It asks for any “edit” the candidate wants to perform.
• The final step is to click on the submit tab. The process of application fill-up is now completed.

 

Syllabus for JSAT:

The JSAT Exam continues to keep its syllabus the same as the previous year. The only possible thing that can bother the aspirants is the change in questions and not the question pattern. Since the exam will be conducted online mode, the nature of the paper is English. It is believed that the test contents will be of class XII level for:

Exam Pattern

The applicant appearing for the JSAT exam must follow the exam guideline to excel in the examination. The JSAT Exam is conducted online by the conducting body. The answers for the test are chosen from multiple options. A total of 120 minutes given to the candidates to solve the test. The candidate gets a plus one for every correct answer. The total number of questions for each section is 40. A total of 120 questions for 120 minutes is allotted to students. This explains the part-wise distribution of marks and the total number of questions. There are three divisions of the question paper:

Exam Admit Card:

The admit card for the JSAT exam will be available on the official website of JGU. The official site of JGU  is https://www.jgbs.edu.in. The applicants can get their admit cards one week before their examination date. The candidates should check the official website to get news of the latest updates.

To download the JSAT admit card the subsequent steps should be followed.

• Log in to the official website of the institute i.e. https://www.jgbs.edu.in
• Click on the JSAT admit card tab.
• The candidate will get a login window wherein they have to fill in their credentials. The credentials consist of birthdate, registration number, and captcha code.
• The candidate can view the admit card. Download the same for entry into the examination center.

JSAT Exam Result:

The results for the JSAT exam are announced after the exam is over. The candidate must stay up-to-date with the official website of the university. The declaration of the result will not be released under any other platform. The candidates who are qualified in the test will be called for counseling or admission process.

To download the results from the website, the students must proceed stepwise i.e.

• Log in to the official website of the institute i.e. https://www.jgbs.edu.in
• A link would be provided showing “ Results for JSAT exam”
• The page would redirect the candidate to the login window to view the result.
• The candidate will then have to enter the email id and password and click on the submit icon.
• The scorecard for the JSAT test will be displayed on the screen.
• The students must save the scorecard. It is required during admission.

JSAT Cutoff:

Cut-off refers to the minimum marks a student should secure to get qualified in any exams. However, various factors play a role to determine the cut-off of any student.

• The total number of applicants appearing on the JSAT Exam.
• The total number of seats is available to accommodate the students.
• The medium of question paper whether it was easy, mediocre, or difficult.
• The negative responses do not owe any mark deduction. It is for the current year. If changes are made the website will update.

The cut-off for the JSAT exam varies from one course to another. The cut-off details for this year 2021 are not yet available on the website.

 

JSAT Counselling:

The counseling for JSAT takes place after the declaration of the result. The results are on the merit performance of the aspirants. The authority sends a counseling letter to the candidate. from the authority for admission purposes.
