The Jain Entrance Test (JET) is the entrance exam for admission into UG and PG programs. The candidates who want to enroll in UG/PG programs at Jain University have to pass the JET Exam. This JET 2021 entrance exam is organized by the Jain University of Bengaluru. This exam conducted for various UG/PG courses is held in online mode. The candidates should first check the college brochure for knowing the courses offered at the campus. Jain University offers several courses in the Arts, Commerce, and science field. Since it is not a government-funded university, the procedure of enrolment to the university is only through the Entrance Exam.

The JET is a University-level Integrated Entrance Test. Jain University conducts the exams for students who want admission into UG and PG programs. It is an online Written Test. The JET is conducted in authorized exam centers throughout India. The Candidate is asked to choose from the Exam Centers according to their preference.

The exam is held once a year. This exam is held once a year at the beginning of the academic year. The students should keep a check on the website of JET for updates on the entrance for that year. The fee for the JET exam is Rs.550.

Some of the highlights/ notifications of the JET Exam are:

  • Jun 11, 2021: The dates for JET BCA and M.Tech courses have been announced. The JET exam is to be conducted on June 14 – June 17, 2021, for the BCA program and June 29 for the M.Tech program.
  • JET for UG programs (except for B. Tech programs) will be organized on July 30 and 31, 2021.
  • May 27, 2021:The dates for JET 2021 are declared. The exam for the B.Tech program will be from June 27 – June 29, this year.
  • For B.Tech courses, the JET 2021 is on June 27, 28, and 29, 2021 for slots 1, 2, and 3 respectively.
  • JET 2021 is on May 29, 2021, for M.Tech courses.

The application form is released on the official website of Jain University. The application forms are to be submitted through online mode only. The candidates staying in the vicinity of the Jain University could physically collect the application form from the university as well. The candidates should keep a constant check on the official website of Jain University for any new notification of the exam.

The Entrance Exam JET is advertised in the national and regional newspapers as well. As and when the notification is released the interested candidates should apply online. The candidates should apply before the lapse of time.

The candidates have to fill the online application form for JET online. The application form can be filled when Jain University puts out a notification for receipt of the application.

The candidates should access the websites of Jain University for filling up the application form. The personal and educational details of the candidates should be filled in the application form as and when prompted. It is of utmost importance to correctly choose the category under which the candidate is applying. The candidates should upload the required documents when prompted on the website. The documents include a photo ID, signature, photograph, etc. After filling up the details, the webpage is redirected to the payment page.

The payment of prescribed fees should be made in the following way:

  1. After filling up the application and submitting the form, you will be directed towards the fee payment process.
  2. The candidate should pay fees through the Payment gateway.
  3. The candidates can pay fees using Credit Card / Net Banking/Debit Card/Master Card.

The candidates can also pay the fees using the coupons made available from the University Admission Office.

The payment of fees through the payment gateway may incur a service charge. The service charge should be paid by the candidate himself.

Important Points to Remember

  1. No claim for refund of application fees submitted shall be made. It shall not be held to be processed for any other exam.
  2. The information entered by the candidate in the application fee form is non-editable.
  3. Please double-check the details entered before making the fee payment.



The candidates should first check their eligibility for applying for the JET Exam before proceeding with the application form. The basic eligibility criteria are given on the website of Jain University. The candidates if found ineligible at any stage, candidature may be canceled. Upon the cancellation, the fees will not be refunded at any stage. The candidate will bear the consequences for the false information entered while applying.

The JET admits card is to be provided to the eligible candidates who have filled the application form properly. Candidates are to submit the application form and prepare for the exam by going through the syllabus given on the website. The Candidates can download the call letter from the official website by putting in the registration number and birth date.

The aspirants who wish to appear for JET 2021 should fulfill certain eligibility criteria to get admission to the University. Such criteria are given on the website by the University.

Other than the below-mentioned eligibility stipulations the following conditions must also be satisfied.

  • Only candidates having citizenship of India  or
  • Nationals who are recognized by the Indian Government.

The Eligibility Criteria for the Courses Offered by Jain University are shown below.



For Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)

The candidate should pass any of the following from CBSE or equivalent board:

  • class XII /PUC or
  • Equivalent exam


The following subjects are mandatory:

  • Physics
  • Chemistry and
  • Mathematics as a mandatory subject.


Candidates should have an aggregate score of 50% or above. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum mark is 45% in aggregate.

The Candidates who completed the 12th or equivalent exam or those individuals waiting for their 12th exam results are also eligible to apply.


For Undergraduate (UG) Courses

The following are the eligibility criteria for the Undergraduate courses other than B.Tech:

  1. Students have to complete their PUC/12thor equivalent exam.
  2. Candidates from any board recognized by the Government of India is acceptable.
  3. They should have an aggregate score of 50% or above in the 12th final exam.
  4. For the OBC/SC/ST candidates, eligibility criteria are lowered up to 5%.


For Post-Graduate (PG) Courses

  1. The candidate should have an aggregate of 50% in Bachelor’s degrees.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline without any backlog is the given condition.
  3. For the MBA program, work experience is mandatory.
  4. Candidates in their final semester are also eligible to apply for JET 2021.

The following candidates are also eligible:

  • Those with a minimum of 70 percentile in XAT/CAT/CMAT. or
  • The ones who have scored at least 500 marks in GMAT/MAT.

The candidates who have scores of other acceptable competitive exams will be exempted from JET 2021. The applicants for the M.Tech program with GATE Score will be directly qualified for the GD.


Candidates who do not have a valid score from above mentioned competitive exams have to give JET 2021 to be eligible for the PG programs.

Follow the below steps for successful completion of the application JET entrance exam.



The candidates are advised to first visit the Jain University exam portal. On the portal page, there is an admission tab that will help the candidates to check their eligibility. By clicking on the tab, there will be several options in the dropdown menu. The candidates have to click on the respective programs for knowing their eligibility.



Before moving to the application form, the candidates are prompted to register themselves. The registration includes name, nationality, email, and mobile number. The candidates should verify the email ID and mobile number. Upon successful verification, the candidate shall receive a mail notification with the Login Id details.



With the login details created and generated by the system, the candidate should log in to their account. After logging in the candidate will be asked to fill up the application form. In the application form, there are personal details to be filled in. The candidate should fill up the educational details as well when prompted. Due care should be given when filling the application form. Appropriate details only should be filled up. Any wrong information will cancel the candidature.



The documents should be uploaded when asked for. The documents include a recent photograph and signature. A clear scanned copy of both should be uploaded.



After successful completion of filling up important details including the choice of exam city, the candidate should pay the fees. The fees are to be paid by the candidate:
