IPU CET 2022: Dates, Fee, Eligibility And Notification 

The Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET) 2022 is a university-level exam for admission to UG and PG programs in Engineering, Medicine, Dentistry, Law, and Management. The exam is conducted annually by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). For this year, the applications were rolled out on 4th March 2022 and will be available till 30th April, 2022.  In addition, those aspiring for admission to B. Arch programs will have to take the NATA 2022 exam, while candidates for admission to B. Tech, Medical, and M. Tech programs would have to take the JEE Main, NEET, and GATE exams respectively. The paper for other IP University courses will be conducted offline, with a total time limit of 150 minutes for each CET paper.

For admission to BJMC, B. Sc, and BCA programs, the IPU CET 2022 exam will be held in the month of May 2022 for various courses. The IPU CET 2022 Results will be available in the fourth week of May or the first week of June for candidates who take the exam. Students should also be aware that the IPU CET 2022 exam for B. Tech Engg., B. Pharma, and BA English has not been postponed.

The cut-off for IPU CET 2022 varies by program, but applicants with scores equal to or higher than the cut-off will be considered for admission. In addition, only Bio-Technology and lateral entry courses in B. Tech courses will have a cut-off. JEE Main results will be considered for other B. Tech programs. IPU CET announces the rank-wise merit list for M. Tech CSE & ECE, and candidates who cannot report for document verification due to health reasons can mail all of their documents.

Updates from last year (2021)

  • 9th Sept. 2021: Due to conflicts with the NEET 2021 schedule, the IPU CET 2021 BA, B. Tech, and B. Pharm have been postponed. The updated exam schedule will be released soon.
  • The IPU CET 2021 Admit Card was released on 23rd Aug. 2021 by the conducting body. Those who have successfully applied for the exam should log in and download their admit card. For additional details, go to IPU CET Admit Card.
  • The IPU CET 2021 Exam will be held on August 28 and 29, 2021.
  • The deadline to apply for the IPU CET 2021 has been extended to 7th Aug. 2021. Eligible applicants have till this date to apply for the exam.

Eligibility Criteria


The candidate must be an Indian/ Nepali national.

Age Limitations

  • As of 2022, students must not be more than:
  • Twenty-one years for all U. G. courses.
  • 25 years for MBBS/BDS
  • Thirty-five years for P. G. courses.
  • Forty-five years for vocational courses.
  • For the BHMS/BAMS/MBBS/BDS Program, the candidate must be at least 17 years old on the exam date.
  • The candidate for the Bachelor of Vocation Programs must be at least 16 years old on the exam date.

Relaxations in Age Criteria

In rare circumstances, the upper age limit may be reduced up to a maximum of 05 years.

Academic Requirements

B. Tech.

  • Students must have a 55 per cent total in PCM and pass the English subject to be considered.

M. Tech.

  • At least 60% in B. Tech. and Grad. B.E., AMIE, M.Sc., MCA.


  • English and Mathematics are required subjects in 10+2.
  • A bachelor’s degree with 50 per cent total in any stream.


  • 50% in Maths/CS and English in the 12th grade or a similar exam is required.


  • Passed 10+2 or a similar exam with at least 50% marks.
  • Students must also have a passing grade in English.


  • LLB or similar law degree with at least 50% grades.


  • Students must have taken 12th grade or a similar program.
  • The qualifying exam must be passed with 50%.
  • The qualifying test must include English as a topic.


  • Students must have at least 50% in a three-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any field.


  • Completion of senior secondary school exams with at least 50% in total
  • Candidates must have studied English as a compulsory subject to be admitted to the B.A. English Hons. Program.
  • Candidates for the BA Economics program must have completed Math and English as required courses.


  • A master’s degree in any field with at least 50% marks.
  • For entrance to the M.A. Economics program, applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree in economics.

B. Sc.

  • Students must have received at least 55 percent in their senior secondary test.
  • Candidates must have passed their senior secondary exams with at least a 55% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or have obtained a diploma in radiotherapy technology after passing the twelfth-grade exams with at least a 50 percent in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for admission to B. Sc Medical Technology and Radio Technology. Applicant must also have five years of radiotherapy exposure.

M. Sc.

  • A B.Sc. degree from a recognized university with 50% marks.
  • Candidates must have a pass in a B.Sc. degree or similar with 50% or a B.E., B.Tech., B.Sc. (Engg.) in Chemical/Agricultural Engg/Civil with 50% for admission to the M.Sc. Environment Management program.
  • Aspirants must have a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Applied Physics/Physics/Chemistry/Biochemistry/Analytical Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry/Toxicology/Math/Applied Math/Statistics/Biology with 50% from a recognized university to be considered for admission to the M.Sc.

M. Ed.

  • Students must have received at least a 50% or similar grade in each of the following programs: B.Ed., B.A. B.Ed., B.Sc. B.Ed., B.El. Ed., D.El. Ed. with a bachelor’s degree (with 50 percent marks)

B. Ed.

  • Students must have 50% in either a Bachelor’s Degree or a Master’s Degree in any stream with a specialization in Science and Math and 55 percent in any other qualification equal to it to be considered for admission to the program.


  • Students must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotech., and English (Core, Elective, or Functional) separately, also 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotech., and English (40 percent in the case of SC/ST/OBC aspirants, subject to seat availability in the respective institutions).
  • To be considered for admissions, all students must take and pass the NEET UG.


  • Individually, the candidate must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English and must have received 50 percent in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
  • (40 percent in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates, subject to seat availability at the individual institutions for these categories). To be considered for admissions, all students must take and pass NEET UG.


  • The Medical Council of India recognizes the MBBS degree.
  • As of April 2022, have completed a 1-year mandatory rotatory internship.
  • Permanent registration with MCI or a state medical council is required.
  • In IPU CET PGMC 2022, for the general population, 50%. 40% in IPU CET PGMC 2022 for SC/ST/OBC


  • Students who have passed each of the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English separately and must have received a combined score of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (40 percent in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates, subject to seat availability in the respective institutions).
  • To be considered for admissions, all candidates must take and pass the NEET UG.


  1. Based on NEET SS admissions are done.
  2. If the University starts another SSMC (DM / MCH) program, it must be added to the admissions process.
  3. Students for SSMC (DM/ M.Ch.) programs must apply for NEET- SSMC, with admissions done by the Govt. of India/ MCI/ DGHS-MHFW. The candidates don’t need to apply to the University.
  4. Candidates who are accepted must present to the respective institution/college a surety bond in the amount provided by the institution.


  • Passing the 12th grade under the 10+2 model with the core subjects, i.e., Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and achieving 60% in these subjects will qualify you.
  • A candidate must also have passed the qualifying test with English as a subject. To be considered for admissions, all students must take and pass NEET UG.


  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) course with 50% in total over four and half years (including internship).


  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy/ B.Sc. (Physiotherapy) with a total duration of 3 and half years (including internship) and a bridge course of one year with a 50% score.


  • Must pass Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT) from a recognized university with 50% marks.


  • A student must hold a Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics (BPO) degree from a recognized university with 50% in total.


  • The candidate must have passed class 12 or a similar test with 50%.
  • Applicant must also be proficient in English.
  • Students from SC/ ST/ Widows or kids of Defence Personnel/PWDs will be given a 5% mark relaxation.

B. Com.

  • 50% marks in the 10+2 certificate exam of the C.B.S.E.


  • 12th from an Indian board or an exam recognized as similar (Pass in Five written subjects).

IPU CET Application Process

Application for the IPU CET 2022 is required. Admission to B.Tech and MBBS programs, on the other hand, will be through JEE Main and NEET respectively. Below is a step-by-step guide to filling out the IPU CET Application Form.

  • Go to ipu.ac.in which is the official site.
  • Click on Online Admission Form, 2022-23, under the Admission 2022-23 option.
  • A new page will open on the screen; click on “Apply Online” under ADMISSION 2022-23: Notices/Circulars to begin filling out the IPU CET Application Form.
  • Choose a stream from the drop-down menus to fill in the general information.
  • Then you must input your personal information, such as your name, father’s name, religion, date of birth, nationality, region/state where you passed your most recent qualification test, and so on.
  • Fill in your postal address as well as your phone number and email address.
  • The candidate must provide a scanned passport-sized colour photo, sign, and left-hand thumbprint, all of which must be clearly visible, or his/her candidacy would be rejected.

Image Specifications

The photo must be of size 10 kb to 100 kb in JPEG/ JPG format while the sign must be of 10 kb to 100 kb in size in JPEG/JPG format.

  • Click Next to go to the Qualifications Page after you’ve uploaded the photographs in the appropriate format.
  • The Qualification page will appear depending on the exam category chosen. Fill in all of the academic information needed.
  • After entering your academic information in accordance with the exam categories you chose, click “Next” to be taken to the final submission page.
  • Input the “Captcha” and tick the “I Agree” checkboxes under the declaration tab before clicking the “Submit” button.
  • You’ll see a message box asking you to double-check your information. Click “Ok” if all of your information is correct.
  • After you click “Ok,” a text box containing your “Login id and password” will appear. (Note it somewhere for future use).
  • On the screen, you’ll see your login id and other information. To apply for courses, go to the Course Application Tab and select “Apply for Courses.”
  • Some information about you will be automatically filled in on the next page. From the drop-down menu, choose the course you want to apply for.
  • Check the “I Agree” box and click the “SUBMIT” button after selecting the course.
  • A text box that allows you to preview the information you’ve entered in case you need to make any adjustments. Now, click “OK”.
  • You will be taken to the bill-desk page for course payment after reviewing the details and clicking OK. For payment of the application fee, go to the “Make Payment” button.
  • You will be taken to a screen where you will be asked for your personal information as well as course information, as well as the transaction ID, once you have completed the payment.

IPU CET Application Fee

Students who apply for the IPU CET must pay a test fee of Rs. 1200 using any of the online payment options. This is the last step in submitting the application form properly. Aspirants wishing to enroll in numerous courses must complete the same registration and pay Rs. 1200 for each course.

IPU CET Exam Pattern

The IPU CET 2022 Admit Card will be out in April 2022. To get their hall ticket, candidates will require their User ID and Password. Students can enrol in Engg., Management, Law, Medicine, Computer Applications, and various other professions.

Admit Card Highlights

  • The IPU CET Admit Card holds details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam name, exam center, and instructions.
  • The candidate should be aware that the admission card will not be provided via mail.
  • If there is an issue with the Admit Card, the candidate should inform the authorities right away.
  • Candidates must keep their admit cards in good condition for the remainder of the process.
  • However, the issuance of Admit Cards does not imply approval of eligibility, which will be verified at a later stage of the admission process.
  • Students whose applications are incomplete/defective for any reason (including indistinct photos/unsigned Applications) or who do not meet the eligibility criteria for the exam will not get an admit card.

Ans. The IPU CET 2022 Exam will be held in an offline pen-and-paper mode for the total duration of 150 minutes (2 hours and 30 minutes) in month of June 2022. 

Q3. Who are eligible for IPU CET?  

Ans. Candidates interested in taking the IPU CET 2022 Exam need to meet the following eligibility criteria:  

  • For the UG Course, candidates need to have passed the 10+2 board or any equivalent exam for their educational qualification and need to be between 18-21 years of age as well.
