Applicants for our BDES and MDES programs sit for the IICD Entrance Exam at the national level. 120 BDES and 75 MDES seats are open for the exam. The results for rounds 1 and 2 of the IIAD Exam 2021 have been declared.

The written exam will consist of two parts: a General Knowledge, Creativity & Perception Test in Part A and a Written Exam in Part B. Material, Color & Conceptual Test, 2. Interview with the candidate. A total of 32 subjective-type questions are included in the exam. This exam will follow the curriculum of the 10+2 level.

Degrees in disciplines are considered to be the least eligible for B Des while for M Des, UG degrees are required. Candidates who have passed the IICD Entrance Exam 2021 will be notified in the final week of April.

List for admission to the B Des and M Des programs will also be published along with the successful candidates. Unless seats remain vacant after candidates have been allocated, seat allocation to waitlisted candidates will not begin.

  •  The All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) portal of the ME added IICD to the list on 20 July, 2021. C-64915 is the AISHE code.
  • The IICD entrance exam results were announced on August 10, 2021, by the IICD, Jaipur.

About Exam and Exam Conducting Authority

A new IICD Entrance Test is scheduled for 2022. Applicants can get admission to various UG and PG courses through this entrance test for 2022 – 2023. There will be two parts to the entrance exam, with questions of general awareness, creativity, color as well as an interview.

Exams basic information

For B. Des in Crafts and Design Program

  • Higher Secondary (10+2) exam from a reputable board is a must for the application process.
  • Applicants for the test may also appear in the qualifying exam.

 

For M. Des in Crafts and Design Program

  • A degree in Architecture/Design, Fashion, Fine Art or Home Science in Textiles & Clothing; Alternatives include:
  • After passing the Senior Higher Secondary Board Exam, a candidate should have five years of direct experience in crafts; or
  • Students with an interest in art, fashion, or design could major in any discipline.
  • The admission will until received defined eligibility by 31st October 2021; those appearing for their qualifying exams can also apply.

 

For Foreign Nationals and NRI Candidates:

  • For international applicants/NRIs seeking admission to IICD are the same as those needed for Indian applicants.
  • A set of guidelines determines if foreign nationals/NRIs are admitted to various UG, graduate, and certificate programs at IICD.

 

Registration Process

Only online applications are accepted for the IICD Entrance Exam 2021. Following is a detailed step-by-step guide to applying for the IICD Entrance Exam 2021:

Registration

  • Check out the IICD’s official website.
  • IICD maintains the official website for IICD exam.
  • The ‘Admissions’ tab is located there.
  • Dropdown a menu and select ‘Admissions 2021-22’.
  • A new page will be displayed.
  • On the homepage, click the ‘Register’ button.
  • The page will ask you for your name, birth date, and other specifics.
  • Click ‘Register’ after you have filled out all the necessary info.
  • An ID and password are emailed to you; you will need to retrieve them.
  • After doing the application form, proceed to the next step.

 

Filling the application form

  • The User ID and Password you produced during registration can be used for logging in.
  • Upon signing in, you are asked for more information such as the name of the Guardian, mother’s name, and gender.
  • Describe your study in particular your high school diploma.
  • Fill out your permanent address and any other info that you would like to use for contact.
  • The form should be checked for accuracy.

 

Uploading the documents

  • The next step is to upload the necessary documents after you have done the earlier steps.
  • Make sure your photograph and signature are fresh, colored, and passport-sized.
  • The IICD website tells a format for scanned images.
  • You can save your application and move on to the next step by clicking the ‘Save and Continue’ button.
  • The form can be edited if candidates need to. No corrections are allowed in the application form after the fee has been paid.

 

Payment of fees

  • There is an entrance exam fee of 1500 rupees for the IICD 2021 entrance exam.
  • It is possible to pay the entrance exam application fee online or offline.

Part A –

The IICD question paper for Part A will have sent to the registered email address along with the admit card. To apply, candidates will have to answer the questions in Word/PDF format and submit them along with their Portfolios between June 10-20, 2021.

 

Part B –

By the IICD exam pattern 2021, Part B consists of portfolios. The portfolio must include the candidate’s own creations. In their portfolio, students can include sketches, paintings, embroidery, photography, models, experiments with materials, and creative writing. From June 10 to June 20, candidates need to submit their portfolio and Part A responses.

In this part of the test, students will have assessed their creativity, observation and perception, synthesis and visual interpretation, interests, and abilities, among others. Portfolio submission details will have shared with students via their registered email id.

 

Part C –

IICD’s exam pattern for 2021 includes a personal interview as the last part. Video conferencing will have used for the interview by the examination cell. A scheduled interview will have emailed to the student’s registered email address. They will check candidates based on the following attributes in personal interviews.

IICD Sample Papers 2021

IICD sample papers 2021 must be solved by students to understand the question pattern and marking scheme. By solving IICD sample papers 2021, candidates can plan exactly what their entrance exam strategy will be. Solving sample papers will also improve the students’ speed when answering tests.

 

Exam Admit Card

On the official IICD 2021 website, candidates can download their admit cards. Admission cards can have obtained by entering an ID number and password. In the first week of June 2021, candidates can download their IICD Entrance Exam (Part B) admit cards.

Admit cards for the IICD Entrance Exam 2021 can be downloaded by following these steps:

  • Select ‘Admissions’ from the drop-down menu. You will have redirected to a new page.
  • To log in, click ‘Login’.
  • Password and ID are required.
  • A computer screen will display your Admit card.
  • Your system will save it.
  • Get a sheet of A4 paper and print it out. The document can have saved for future use in several copies.

 

Note: To gain entry to the testing center, a valid form of identification must be brought with the printout.

 

IICD Entrance Exam 2021 Centers

It is the national entrance exam for the IICD. Several cities throughout the nation hold the event. Eight cities are scheduled to host the IICD Entrance Exam 2021. As a reference, the following list of tentative centers is provided:

While filling out the application form, the candidate can choose up to three cities as preferences.

  • Before submitting the application, candidates need to show their preference for an exam center.
  • Once the application has been submitted, the exam city cannot be changed.
  • The IICD may cancel an exam center in the event of insufficient candidates, and candidates will be required to take the exam at the nearest center. In this regard, the IICD’s decision would be final.

 

Results

For Part B, results will have announced in the second week of July 2021. Results for Part A will have announced in the second week of May 2021. Merit lists of successful candidates have been announced as the results.

  • On IICD’s official website, the results are available.
  • By entering their ID and password on the website, candidates can check their results.
  • Students who qualify have been listed on the website. There is also a waiting list, and people on it may have admitted if any seats are empty.
  • The candidates’ scores have been taken into account in creating the list.
  • After their names appear on the list prepared by IICD, candidates have invited for counseling.
  • It is their responsibility to pay the admission fee to ensure their admission.

The BDES and MDES programs do not have an official process. Also, as of waiting lists and merit lists prepared by IICD, seat allocation for the class of 2021 will occur from June mid-to-June end.

In such a case, seats have been allotted based on the combination of candidates’ performances in the two written tests and the personal interview, according to the weighting assigned by the admission authorities.

It is necessary for candidates to pay the admission fee for their seats to be confirmed. There will be no changes or alterations to the reserved seat. Also, the following rounds are held if the first round leaves a vacancy.

  • For the allocation of seats, all candidates must be present in person.
  • The candidates visit the website to keep updated on vacant seats and of seat allotment.
  • Students may also have admitted if withdrawn candidates appear on the list. Also, both waiting lists on the website mention their names.

 

All rounds have been conducted according to this method. Until all seats have been filled, the allocation of seats continues.

Notes

  • There are no fees for any category. Students joining the 2019-20 academic year will pay the fees outlined above. Moreover, there are two semesters in an academic year.
  • In the event of nonpayment of fees or failure to report even three weeks after the calendar session began, the student will be liable for cancellation.
  • By giving notice to students and their parents/guardians, the Institute reserves the right to revise the fees.
  • Also, Vidyarthi Mediclaim Rs. 700/- contains details on students younger than 25 years of age who have been covered by the plan. The rest, approximately, would have to be paid. Also, rate as per the actual rate of Rs. 1247/- as per Standard Medicine Policy.

Q. What is cut-off IICD?

IICD has not yet announced a cut-off mark for its entrance exam. Candidate marks have been taken into account when preparing the list. By with their merit list position, they have allocated the appropriate program. On the website, the names of qualified candidates are published.

 

Q. What are the courses offered by the IICD Entrance exam?

Applicants to the T&S BDES and MDES programs are required to take the entrance exam by the IICD. Moreover, the following is the seat matrix for students looking to enroll in UG and PG programs in 2021-22.

B Des Programs are:

  • 25 seats with soft material
  • 25 hard materials had used to make this product
  • Also, application: 25 seats with fire-retardant material

Q. What is the withdrawal and refund policy for UG and PG Courses?

A new academic session will begin in July 2022 for graduates and UG studying crafts & design.

Based on the starting date of the academic session, the refund policy will apply.

Upon withdrawal of admission, the security amount has been refunded in full.

IICD, Jaipur, withdrawal requests need to be submitted in writing by the Deputy Registrar (Academics). Also, a candidate who withdraws from admission will need to submit the original fee receipt received at the time of admission. If the original Fee Receipt is not present, there is no way to withdraw the admission.

 

Q. What are the eligibility criteria for B.Des at IICD?

A candidate must have done up to the 12th-grade level to qualify for graduation from IICD’s B.Des program.  It must be the school where the student obtains his/her class 12th degree of state board like ISC, CBSE, etc.
