• The Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) 2022 has been postponed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE).
• The test, which was originally slated for May 11 and 12, 2022, will now take place on June 27 and 28, according to DTE Goa.

Only 10 days before the exam, the dates must be confirmed.

The procedure and timetable for accepting GCET-2022 application forms will be posted on the DTE website. Following the completion of the GCET-2022, a schedule of further admissions activities will be announced.

GCET Notification:

The candidates who desire to appear in the GCET 2022. have to wait for the notification. The exam is already administered. IThe test, which was originally slated for May 11 and 12, 2022, will now take place on June 27 and 28, according to DTE Goa.

The candidates are required to fill the application form for GCET offline. They have to submit the hard copy at the DTE office. The admit card is available offline. The result is based on merit performance. The selection is done as per the rank of the candidates.

Eligibility criteria:

Candidates appearing for GCET 2022 must check their eligibility. The basic criteria to satisfy are:

• The “Nationality Criteria”. Indian and NRIs can apply for the GCET exam. OCI and PIO can be applicants for the exam.
• The “Age Limit”. The candidate has to be more than 17 years.
• Aspirants with valid scorecards are eligible for the GCET exam. Scorecards of GCET, NEET, NATA.

• Registration process:The Kashmiri Migrants can also apply for GCET. The student should be 12th passed. Must have English, Physics, and Maths as compulsory subjects. Must have scored 45% or more in Physics and Mathematics.

The registration channel is yet not open for aspiring GCET students. Candidates can start the registration process for 2022 after the dates are announced.

The application form will be available online. Students have to download and file the application offline. It is advised to check the eligibility. The candidates can fill the online applications by entering the credentials. For offline applications, individuals have to follow certain steps. Early applicants can pay 2000 as the registration amount. Late applicants will pay 3500. During the registration process, the candidates are asked to fill the exam centre.

How to apply for GCET 2022?

• Log in to the official website https://dte.goa.gov.in.
• Go to the “ Admission Advertisement”. Click on the tab.
• Download Form A of GCET application.
• Take a printout.
• Fill in the details
  a) Personal Credentials.

• Attach a recent photograph in the allotted space.
• Signature of the candidate in the box given in the form.
• A demand draft of Rs.2000 should be made. The application has to be sent to DTE.

GCET Exam Pattern:

It is important to know the basic pattern of the exam. The exam pattern helps in preparing the student. It is an overview that explains the proper divisions of the exam. Given below, the GCET exam pattern. The exam pattern discusses the following:

• There are three focus subjects.
• A total of 75 questions are allotted to each section.
• Each response carries 1 mark. It means a total of 225 is given to students.
• The total duration to complete the exam is 120 minutes.
• The exams are operated at different time schedules.
• To add, there is no negative marking for incorrect responses.

Why is it important to practice previous year paper?

Advantages of practising the previous year GCET question paper:

• It will teach the students how to manage time. Candidates can set a timer for 2 hours and practice the same.
• The student will overcome the fear of attempting the GCET exam.
• The candidates will know about their strengths and weaknesses. And they can work upon it.
• Practising helps them to understand concepts in a better way.
• It will also help the candidates to strategically plan their studies.

Important instruction for GCET:

• The aspirants must bring a hall ticket. The admit card must have the photo of the candidate.
• The candidate should be present 15 minutes before.
• The students are not permitted to leave the hall before time.
• Candidates with electronic devices are not allowed to the exam center.
• Unfair activities are not permitted inside the hall. Any act of discipline will lead to the cancellation of the exam. (Only for the student)
• The students must follow the instructions given in the OMR sheet.
• The exam is of objective type. The students are allowed to encircle only the right option.
• The announcement of the result will be done on the official website.
• Rechecking of results is not available for GCET.

GCET Admit Card:

The admit card for GCET is generally available from the fourth week of completion of registration. Individuals have to log in to the official website https://dte.goa.gov.in. They then have to enter the credentials to download the admit card. Every individual has to carry the admit card to the exam hall. Without an admit card. The student is not permitted to enter the hall. Candidates must carry a photo ID card.

The subsequent steps should be followed to get a GCET to admit card:

• Candidates have to visit the DTE centre in Goa.
• The candidate has to submit the application form.
• The photo id card will be given to the aspirant.
• The aspirant must check all the details mentioned.
• Individuals must keep a photocopy of the admit card for reference.

GCET Result:

There is no information regarding GCET 2022 results.

For 2021:

The GCET 2021 result was released on 3rd August 2021. It got released on the official website. The result was available in PDF format. In the PDF, the candidate’s name and subject-wise marks are given. The GCET merit list will be released on August 31st, 2021. On September 1st, the final merit list will be available. The students are given seats according to their rank.

To download the result from the website, the students must proceed stepwise i.e

• Log in to the official GCET website.
• A link would be provided showing “ Results Declared for GCET”.
• The page would redirect the candidate to the login window to view the result.
• The scorecard for the GCET test will be displayed on the screen.
• In the PDF, the student’s roll number and marks will be mentioned.
• The students must save the scorecard. The PDF will be required during admission.

GCET Answer- Key:

GCET 2022 answer key will surely be released after the completion of the examination.

For 2021:

The answer key will be released by August 3rd, 2021. The answer key is available on the website. Students can download the same. The answer will be in PDF format. The contents will be available in different sections. The student can click on any section to verify their answers. The candidate can follow.

• The answer score will be released on August 3rd, 2021.

Exam Cut-off:

The candidates with the highest marks in mathematics and physics are eligible for engineering college. However, different colleges have different cut-off standards. It is up to students that should report on time. Delay might lead to filling up of seats fast.

Exam Merit List:

The GCET results 2022 merit list for is set to be released by DTE. The list is disclosed on the official website. The candidates who have cleared the exam have access to view the list. The merit list is based on the rank of the student. The provisional merit list’s release date is not out yet. The final list will be disclosed by the board online. The counseling of the students will be done accordingly. If the candidate finds any fault then they may raise a complaint.

GCET Counselling:

The counseling process is announced by the DTE. The counseling process will take place in two phases. Candidates have to get themselves registered. The students have to select their college for admission. The GCET counselling will happen in offline mode. The counselling is purely rank-based.

The seat allotment for candidates is done as per selection in the first round. The seats will remain vacant.  The students will be called in the next round. The students must get their documents verified. Any student failing to report for counselling will lose the seat.

The GCET 2022councelling date is not out yet.

Steps for GCET counselling:

1) File the Counselling Form:

• The candidate has to fill the counselling form. It will be available offline.
• The candidate needs to fill in their credentials in the form.

2) Submit the Application Form:

•  After the form fills up the candidate has to submit the form. It is to be submitted at
  DTE, Goa.
• A confirmation receipt is given by the DTE official.

3) Counselling Phase:

• The students are selected based on their rank.
• The seat allotment of candidates is based on diverse factors.
• If any student fails to do so, it will lead to the cancellation of seats.

4) Report the allotted Institute:

• The student must report to the institute allotted to them their rank.
• The student should carry a seat allotment letter.
• Students have to carry the original documents along with fees.
