CUSAT CAT is a Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) for admission to its various UG and PG levels courses. The exam paper for B Tech consists of two papers: Paper-I and Paper-II. By January, every year the CUSAT CAT application form gets published on the official website. After completing the exam, CUSAT CAT the counselling session will be organized online. This is a university-level and computer-based entrance exam held online.
The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) is a government autonomous body that conducts the Common Admission Test (CAT) for admission in B Tech, UG, and PG courses offered by the University. CUSAT CAT is the exam organized annually by Cochin University of Science and Technology. It annually conducts the exam also on Lateral Entry Test (LET) and Departmental Admission Test (DAT). The exam is conducted in online mode. Candidates who want to participate in the 2022 exam must fill CAT 2022 application form if they meet the eligibility criteria. The application form was filled online on the official website of CUSAT.
The CUSAT has conducted the CAT 2021 for candidates on July 21 successfully. Admission was available into various courses following, B Tech, M Phil, M Vocation, MCA, B.A, LLB, LLM, and other programs. Counselling will be conducted for admissions through the CUSAT CAT exam for which a rank list has been released.

Aspirants applying for CAT 2022 must fulfil the eligibility criteria i.e., age requirement, qualifying %, educational qualification, nationality, etc. The CUSAT authorities have released the requirements for candidates who are willing to pursue B Tech courses through CUSAT CAT. The criteria shall vary for the various B Tech specializations as well such as Naval Architecture & Ship Building, Instrumentation Technology, and Marine Engineering. In short, those candidates who anyways apply without complying with the CUSAT CAT eligibility criteria stand at high risk of cancellation of their application.
Based on the requisites required of the student concerned the criteria are given much importance for the students to follow and apply for courses, B Tech, M Phil, M Vocation, MCA, B Science, M Science, B.A.LLB, LLM in different colleges across Kerala.
Age criteria
There is no specific age limit specified to apply for the exam. Candidates of any age group can fill the application form and thereby participate in the counseling session if they qualify for the entrance exam. The age restriction of CUSAT CAT for the B Tech Marine Engineering program is a maximum of 25 years from the current year.

The admission authorities of CUSAT released its CAT application form on 8th Feb. 2022. The candidates were allowed to submit the application form by 7th March without a late fee. The last date to submit the CUSAT CAT form 2022 extended till 14th March 2022 that included a late fine. The candidates must register with CUSAT before filling the application form and then provide the asked academic and personal details.
Candidates applying to CUSAT CAT were required to follow the following procedure to fill in their CUSAT CAT application form for 2022.
Candidates applying to CAT 2022 should register themselves by providing their details such as their name, email address, mobile number, and date of birth. The email address of the candidate becomes the user name for further reference. To verify the email Id and mobile number, the candidate receives an OTP. The then-candidate needs to verify the same by clicking on the link/OTP received.
After the successful registration of the 2022 exam, candidates had to login into the portal by using the login credentials (username and password) and then had to fill in the application form.

After successfully filing the course and other details, a preview option will be available. The candidate should preview the form and check the preview carefully. In case of any mistake, go to the required page, make the necessary correction and save the changes.
After successfully filling and reviewing the application form, the candidates should pay the application form fee. The application form fee was Rs.1100/- for the general & OBC category and Rs.500/- for the SC/ST category of CAT 2022.
The CUSAT CAT syllabus of CAT organized by CUSAT comprises the important contents from the exam point of view. It describes the chapters and topics of Math, Chemistry, and Physics. CUSAT CAT syllabus is based on the syllabus of Class 11 and 12. So, candidates must go through the complete syllabus who are planning to prepare for CUSAT CAT before drawing up any strategy.
The authorities of CUSAT shall do not specifically release the syllabus for CAT 2022. Generally, questions of Physics, Chemistry, and Math are from the class 11 and 12 syllabi. Candidates should go through the whole syllabus while preparing for the CUSAT CAT exam. This helps them prepare well and perform accordingly in the CUSAT CAT exam.

Candidates will get CUSAT Admit Card between May 1st to 14th 2022. Candidates have to download it online by using the login credentials. The Candidate will not receive the admit card through email/post/fax. Candidates need to download their admit card themselves and bring it to the exam centre to write CAT 2022 exam. Without a hall ticket, no candidate will get permission to enter the exam hall. The admit card is an important document for entry in the exam as well as in the counselling.
CUSAT will release the CUSAT CAT result on the website after some weeks of the exam which is expected in 3rd week of June 2022. Candidates who will participate in the 2022 exam will have the required credentials and will be able to check their results. The details required to access the result are the username and password that are provided to the candidates. CUSAT result carries various details like the name of the candidate, their roll number, marks obtained by them, rank secured, etc. Shortlisted candidates will be notified for further rounds to complete the admission procedure.
