CENTAC stands for Centralised Admission Committee, which the Government of Puducherry conducts. The admission Committee going to start the admission process for students.   • CENTAC 2021 Merit List for NEET is expected to be released on November 9, 2021 on the official website, i.e. centacpuducherry.in. CENTAC 2021 Counselling will be conducted for admissions to first year courses MBBS/BDS/BAMS and B.V.Sc and A.H. courses. Counselling and Allotment starts in November 2021.
  • There is an extension of the date for the application form of CENTAC 2021 for Non-NEET UG courses. Now the last date was, September 07th, 2021.

About Centralised Admission Committee 2021 (CENTAC)

CENTAC or Centralised Admission Committee conducts the admission process for various undergraduate or postgraduate courses like engineering, medical, pharmacy, etc. The committee does not conduct any entrance exam for the admission process. But they do it through a merit list based on 12th marks. As CENTAC offers various courses, so the eligibility criteria vary according to the courses.

Basic information of CENTAC 2021:

The full form of the CENTAC is the Centralised Admission Committee. And it conducts the admission process for different courses like engineering and pharmacy, and the government of Puducherry governs it. CENTAC is not conducting any entrance exams since 2015. But they are selecting the candidate based on the merit list of 12th marks. CENTAC creates different merit lists for various courses based on candidates’ 12th marks. If candidates want to apply for more than one course, they can apply through a single application except for law courses. For admission in law courses, candidates have to fill the different forms.

Candidates interested in courses have to make online payments through credit cards, debit cards, or net banking. Talking about the application fee, it depends on the number of courses and caste of a candidate. If the candidate is from a reserved category, then the application fee for one course is 250 Rs.

If the candidate is from the reserved category, it will be 500 Rs. For two courses, the application fee is 350 for reserved and 700 for the general category. The application fee is 500 Rs for reserved category candidates for three courses and 1000 Rs for general category candidates. This is the application fee structure for the CENTAC.

Candidates interested in particular courses offered by CENTAC have to fill the application form online and send it to the mentioned address. CENTAC offers multiple courses under them, such as B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.Sc Nursing, BSc (MLT), MBBS, BA LLB, and BDS (Based on NEET score). The counseling authority of the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) is Central Admission Committee (CENTAC) Puducherry. The admission process is there for Admission to Government institutions in Puducherry. About Admission:

If the candidate wants to take admission in any of the mentioned courses, then the candidate has to pass the 12th examination. Also, an equivalent examination from a recognized board is considerable. Without the required qualification, the candidate can not apply for the admission process.

The number of attempts for the courses is different as per the courses. The minimum marks criteria for all the courses is almost the same whether the candidate is doing B. Tech course or MBBS. And the date for the same was August 13th, 2021. Talking about the last date to submit the CENTAC application form was September 07th, 2021. The candidate should not miss out on these dates. Now talking about the eligibility criteria of CENTAC, the candidate must be a citizen of India. Because every institute offering different courses set their criteria. CENTAC 2021 Eligibility Criteria:

Percentage of Marks: Candidates must secure an aggregate of 45 per cent in the class 12th exam. For the reserved category, it’s 40 per cent.

1. For B. Tech course:

Qualifying Exam: 12th pass or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

Subjects: Physics, Mathematics and one of the given subjects among Biology/Chemistry /Bio-Technology/Computer Science.

Minimum Marks: Minimum 45% marks and 40% marks for reserved category.

Attempts: For SC- three attempts application and for other – two attempts.

 

2. For B.Pharm Course:

Qualifying Exam: 12th pass or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

Subjects: Physics, Mathematics and one of the given subjects among Biology/Chemistry /Bio-Technology/Computer Science.

Minimum Marks: Minimum 45% marks and 40% marks for reserved category.

Attempts: No attempt limits for B.Pharma.

 

3. For BAMS(Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery) Course:

Qualifying Exam: 12th pass or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

Subjects: Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and English

Minimum Marks: At least 50% marks for general category and 40% marks for SC/ST/OPH & 45% marks for OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/OPH.

Attempts: only one attempt

 

4. For BDS and MBBS

Qualifying Exam: 12th pass or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Bio-Technology, Zoology, Botany, and English.

Minimum Marks: At least 50% marks for general and 40% marks for reserved category.

Entrance Exam: Based on the rank secured in NEET 2021.

Attempts: There are no attempt limits for this course.

 

5. For B.Sc. (MLT)

Qualifying Exam: 12th pass or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English

Minimum Marks: At least 50% marks for general and 40% marks for reserved category.

Attempts: No attempt limits for this course.

 

6. For B.Sc. (Nursing)

Application form filling process of CENTAC 2021:

To apply for the CENTAC 2021, candidates need to fill up the application form by visiting the CENTAC website. For that, candidates have to follow certain steps. Those steps are as follows,

 

Step by Step Procedure:

  • CENTAC Registration:

To register, the aspirant needs to visit the official website of CENTAC 2021 – https://www.centacpuducherry.in/. Now, candidates have to enter their full name, date of birth, email id or phone number. This is to get the user id and password that requires to log in to the application form of CENTAC. After filling in the complete details, the candidate needs to click on the register button to complete the registration process.

  • Payment of CENTAC Application:

After the registration process, the candidate has to pay the required application fee. To pay the fee, the candidate has to pay through a credit card, debit card, or net banking. The candidate can use either of the above methods to pay the application fee of CENTAC 2021. The application fee is different for different categories.

  • CENTAC Application form filling:

After successfully paying the application fee, candidates need to go through the further part of the application process. For that, candidates need to fill up some data related to personal information, Academic or educational information, code of university (preference wise), and communication details.

  • Upload documents and images:

Once application form filling is done, candidates have to upload their scanned passport size coloured photo as per the given specifications by CENTAC. If the candidate fails to upload the photo as per the specifications, the application form can be rejected. So be careful while uploading the scanned picture.

  • Final Submission of CENTAC Application Form:

CENTAC Exam 2021 Syllabus:

Candidates applying for CENTAC 2021 must have an idea about the syllabus of the entrance exam. Candidates can access the complete syllabus details on the official notification of CENTAC. For this, candidates need to visit the website of a committee. Without the syllabus idea, the candidate will face difficulty in solving the CENTAC 2021 examination paper.

CENTAC Exam Pattern 2021:

The centralised Admission Committee has released the official notification of the CENTAC exam 2021. Inside that, they have given all the information related to the CENTAC examination. They have also provided exam patterns structure for the CENTAC examination. To know more about the structure candidate can go through the notification of CENTAC. Here the candidate will get some information related to the CENTAC exam pattern.

CENTAC 2021 is a Computer Based Test also known as the CBT test. This exam will consist of a total of three papers. In which each paper will take one hour. A total of 240 questions will be there in the CENTAC exam for a total of 300 marks. All the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions. And will have a negative marking scheme. There will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. So candidates need to answer the questions carefully to avoid the deduction of marks.

The medium of the CENTAC entrance exam will be English. No other regional language will be there during an examination. Each question of the exam will carry three marks. The entrance exam will include three sections. In which candidates have to attend the three subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. The mathematics section will have 60 questions, physics and chemistry. And it will have a combined 80 questions. Biology will have 100 questions. CENTAC Admit Card 2021:

The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) released the admit card on the official website of CENTAC. But it’s for those who have correctly filled the application form and paid the application fee. To check out the admit card of CENTAC, candidates must visit the committee’s website to download the admit card.

To download the admit card, candidates have to visit the official website. After this need to click on the admit card link. Now, the candidate has to log in to the page by providing the user-id and password details. After successfully log in, one window will pop up. Now, the candidate can download the admit card for the CENTAC exam.

After downloading the CENTAC admit card, the candidate must check out every detail of admit card written on it. Candidates must check out the name, exam paper name, timing, examination address, and photo. Every detail written on the admit should be correct with respect to the candidate.

The photo attached to the admit card must be recently clicked. That photo will be the same as that of the application photos uploaded during the application form filling process. It is also important to have an admit card during the examination. Candidates will not be allowed into the exam hall without an admit card. Apart from this candidate must keep valid ID proof such as an Aadhar card, passport, or pan card.

CENTAC Exam Result 2021:

CENTAC entrance exam result is not yet declared. Because it got postponed multiple times due to covid restrictions. But the higher authority of CENTAC may declare the result in the month of September 2021. To check out the exam result, candidates have to visit the official portal of CENTAC. The centralised Admission Committee will release the result of the examination in the form of a merit list.
