Also, teaching gives job satisfaction that cannot be equated to any other job. Work-life balance is maintained well in this profession. Most of the corporate and government jobs won’t provide such summer holidays.

The most obvious con is the salary. You won’t earn much unless you are the most experienced one in the government sector. Moreover, you must clear exams like CTET/TET to earn well in teaching. Thus B.Ed. a degree alone will not provide the salary you want. Also, the promotions and recognitions are a little slow in this job. Teaching is always considered as a self-less job work its work nature.

One of the most advantageous things is that there is distance education for B.Ed. The B.Ed. degree through correspondence program is still considered valid. Thus, you can complete your B.Ed. degree alongside your mainstream graduation.

Also, as per the recent notifications, engineers can apply in the teaching sector. Though it seems welcoming, there is not much scope for them in the teaching sector. Moreover, it adds to the competition in the teaching sector.
