Important Details About the AFCAT Exam

  • Both men and women are eligible to apply for all three branches.
  • While there is only a short service commission for women in all three branches, men have both a permanent and a short service commission.
  • However, AFCAT only offers a Short Service Commission for the Flying Branch. Thus, if you pass both the written test and the AFSB, you will be eligible to join the Air Force Academy.
  • Candidates are chosen based on their performance in the online test and attendance at the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) meeting. Newcomers settling in Ground Duty (Technical) branches must take both the AFCAT and the Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).

AFCAT 1 2024 Eligibility

All candidates are advised to establish their eligibility for the AFCAT 2023 before applying for the posts. For both technical and non-technical professions, the Indian Air Force has developed many certifications. AFCAT 1 2024 Application

For all categories, a 250 INR application fee may be paid online. After the registration procedure is finished, the AFCAT application form revision opportunity becomes open. Candidates for the Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch must be between the ages of 20 and 26 on 01st January 2023.
